Going the Distance with Drew Barrymore and Justin Long
August 31, 2010My hubby and I have always loved Drew Barrymore. She is such a wonderful actress and so pretty too. Plus I love the way her movies always make us feel good afterwards. And it’s the same with her latest flick, GOING THE DISTANCE, with her co-star and real life boyfriend Justin Long. Thanks to Azrael and to SM for letting us watch the advanced screening yesterday.
The movie was so awesome and hilarious that my husband and I found ourselves laughing at several scenes and me crying at those dramatic moments. It made us think what if we were to have a long distance relationship? Would we survive it? Frankly, I am not so sure. I’m so used to Peter being around that I may just die. Anyway, that’s how great this movie is. It was not only funny and entertaining, it will make you feel what the characters were feeling at every single turn of their relationship too. Oh and Christina Applegate played such an awesome sister. So many awkward moments… so effing hilarious! LOL! In short, we had such a great time!
Going the Distance is about Erin’s (Drew Barrymore) witty and frank personality who charms the newly single Garrett (Justin Long). Before long, they find themselves spending every possible moment they have in those six weeks that Erin was spending her internship in New York. It was just supposed to be a summer fling but it led to so much more. So they tried going the distance. It was hard, it can be messy, it meant sacrificing dreams, it was a roller coaster ride. But in the end, no matter how difficult, love triumphs. Do watch it! This movie is not just for women who love chick flicks but good for men too. They will surely have a bawl!

Sexy Nomad Weekend Updates
August 25, 2010While the whole nation was so busy saying their various opinions about the recent mishap that happened in Manila, I was busy working, sleeping and writing my personal blogs posts on some of my blogs. Honestly, I had no idea that such a tragedy was happening until Peter told me about it late Monday evening. Oh well, I won’t add anymore opinion about the matter. It’s been done and I just hope the people concerned learned a good deal about it so that next time (not that I’m hoping there would be a next time), it can be dealt with successfully. (*If you don’t know what I am talking about, then you must be living under a rock, or like me, killing yourself with tons of workload and other more seemingly important things. LOL.) I won’t even give any clues or keywords as to what I am referring to because it has trended enough on social networking sites making our race look bad once again.
Anyhoo, the point of this post is to just give you my personal updates. So that’s what I’m going to do. ^_^
Last weekend, I again wore one of the garterized, off-the-shoulder, affordable blouses I was selling on my FB super sale catalog. It’s comfy and it perfectly hid all those unwanted fats in my midesction. Haha! Blame it on the sweets I’ve been eating non-stop lately.
I also bought new books! Now if only I can buy time to read all those books I’ve bought, that would be a lot more awesome.
I tried using our brand new Wimpex oven and grilled some vegetables and baked some scrambled eggs. They were delish!
I’ve also been busy with casting spells and buying a few things for Halloween. Yes, I am that excited! After all, a few more days and it’s the start of the BER months already. Yipee!
And last but not the least, if I haven’t been resting or reading, I’ve been spending some real quality time with the hubby over the weekend.
How about you? Prior to the incident that had the nation glued to National TV, what have you been up to? ^_^
Shopping at Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh
June 28, 2010
After we rested for a few minutes in our hostel, we headed out and looked for a place to eat.
We went inside the first decent looking restaurant we saw and asked for a menu. We were famished! I laughed when I saw one of their dishes named Peter breakfast. Haha!
Yum yum!

2010 Toycon, Bead Craze and Apparel Business
June 22, 2010Hey everyone!Whew! It’s been a busy, busy, busy couple of days for me. After I attended the UNO event last Friday and totally had fun with it, it’s just been a blur of house chores and personal projects one after the other, particularly my current craze over beaded accessories (a resurrected hobby and mini business of mine since 2004) plus my current dibs in the online apparel business.
Anyhoo, I was glad to have the chance to get out of the house last Sunday, even for just a couple of hours. Thanks to Papa Azrael for letting me come as one of the bloggers at the 2010 Toycon held in Megamall.
It was my first time and I actually had fun looking at all the toys and the cosplayers who went to the event. Peter was enjoying himself too. He got to take a photo with one of his most favorite DC characters, Green Lantern. He was even wearing a Green lantern shirt! Maybe next year, he’ll be a cosplayer too, who knows? Teehee. ^_^

Sexy Nomad’s 4th Birthday Gift
May 14, 2010Howdy! Sexy Nomad is now 4 years old! As such, she has thought about transfering to another home. So from now on, all new PERSONAL posts shall be published at
I will still retain this blog though for non-personal travels and stuff.
When you do visit my new blog (and a couple of other blogs on my blog roll), you might see some old posts there on the front page. This is because I am slowly transfering all my posts (starting from the most interesting and most viewed) from here to my new home, one by one. Yeah, it’s such a massive task! Just thinking about it is making my heart beat so fast. I guess coz I find it exciting… Teehee. It would be nice to go back to my old posts and see how much I’ve grown, from an emotional wreck I was 4 years ago, to this happier, more mature girl that I am now. ^_^
So anyway, I just want to let you know. And if you have a better idea on how I can do this more efficiently, let me know. I think I need all the help I can get, seeing that I almost never sleep these days and I’m always bombarded with work. (Buti na lang nag-eenjoy ako.) ^_^
Ciao folks! And see you at the other side.

Palay-Isdaan Mini Zoo and Carlos Beach in Pagbilao, Quezon
April 28, 2010Earlier on this Black Saturday, we left Dampalitan Island at around lunch time. On the way back home, I hoped to pass by another beach I wanted to check out — Carlos Beach. I came across Carlos Beach while doing my research online. It’s at the end of the road that also leads to Pueblo Por Playa, a member’s only beach club in Barangay Bantigue, occupying most of its coastline. We got lost a couple of times because we couldn’t find Carlos Beach even after we passed by Pueblo Por Playa. So we started asking around. Apparently, the end of the road which we thought was the ultimate end of the road in Barangay Bantigue was not. We had to go a little further into that narrow road leading to Carlos Beach. Finally, when we got there, it was unfortunate that Carlos Beach was not as impressive as I thought it would be. Entrance fee is only Php 20.00 and and use of table is for Php 50.oo each. It is a small picnic ad beach resort with a fish pond at the back. Since it was Black Saturday, it was full of people mostly kids and oldies. After taking a few photos, we left and just decided to go straight home.
