I recently came across Philippine Airline’s latest promo, FLY ASIA PASS. It is available for sale through PAL accredited travel agencies, ticket offices, contact center in the Philippines and through their website www.philippineairlines.com. until August 7, 2011. That’s tomorrow!!!! Rush, rush, rush!!!

Basically, for only USD$270, anybody can do an unlimited travel to the key cities of Asia (You may fly unlimited round-trip to Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Macau, Saigon, Shanghai, Singapore, and Taipei from Manila and you may also fly unlimited between Manila and Cebu or Davao.), all for a very minimal fee of USD$270!

Should Bloggers Secure DTI Permit?

A meeting between bloggers and DTI officials was held this morning to discuss the issues about whether or not bloggers who hold contests on their  blogs must secure DTI permit. Here’s an update written by my husband Peter Juan:

So I was fortunate enough to be at the DTI discussion with the bloggers regarding the issue of having to secure a DTI permit for online contests. It has been decided that the matter will require more than a few meetings in order to hammer out the details that in a manner that will be fair to everyone involved, from bloggers of whatever kind, the agencies and advertisers that interface with them, to the readers of those blogs. In the interim, The DTI secretary Gregory Domingo, has established these guidelines:

Naked, Dako and Guyam Islands: Must-See in Siargao

The non-stop rain the past couple of days has been making our life gloomy. We wanted to get out of the house and when we did, flood and traffic greeted us. There have been a lot of devastations everywhere and I’m praying that all this raining would stop, even for just a few weeks. 

God must have heard my prayer, as well as the prayers of other people because this morning, the sun came out. I do hope it stays there to bring warmth  and sunshine through the coming days.

Elenin, What are you?

It’s already August and the weather hasn’t improved, not even for a bit. It’s still raining everywhere, I heard there was a magnitude 5 earthquake just recently which made life seemed a little bit gloomy on this side of the planet. Little did I know that similar things have been happening in different parts of the world. It makes me think if this is it! I mean just recently, I read something about this comet called Elenin. The article mentioned that everytime it would come to a near alignment between the sun and the earth, massive earyhquakes are found to be occurring on our planet. Of course, it could simply be a coincidence. But if it already happened three times, then it’s something to watch out for. Plus, the nearer it gets to Earth, the more massive the earthquakes that happened. Could there really be a correlation in all of these? I think it would be wise to at least read up on it. It’s up to you to judge it after reading if it’s a hoax or something worth wasting your time on. As for me, I’ll just keep reading about it for now. After all, I used to want to be an astronomer when I was in fourth grade. Reading about things like this just make me happy… except for the devastations that go with stuff like this, of course. Teehee. ^_^
