I started this blog in 2006 when I was still a young twentysomething corporate gal seeking happiness and fulfillment at every opportunity. I was on the brink of depression until I decided to take control of my life and choose to be happy. I now work online on my own time, enjoying all the things that give me joy and pleasure, whether at home or while traveling. This blog records and summarizes my adult life's journey.
They say that the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Most photos on this blog are taken either by me or my husband, Peter. We use our Nikon D40, some with my Olympus u725SW (especially underwater shots) and a few with my Nokia fone (for unexpected photo taking). The more recent underwater shots and videos are taken with the use of GE and Agfaphoto HD recorder. I just realized that this is also a nice venue to practice and showcase my skills in photography! The blogosphere has been buzzing with DTI issues at the moment. I don’t actively participate coz God knows I hate reading the fine print. But I do read the reactions of fellow bloggers whenever I have the time and I can understand where they are coming from. Nevertheless, I’m no lawyer, I’m not that assertive either, plus I don’t even hold contests on my blog, sponsored or otherwise… (I was about to do that because I have a ton of unused stuff at home but this hot issue with the DTI is just making this risky at the moment) so just to be on the safe side of things, I don’t think I’d be doing any promos… for now. This is also probably a sign for me to get the necessary business permits should I really want to pursue my online apparel biz. For now, it’s just something I do when I have the time. I don’t even earn that much from it. It’s a good thing though that I was already able to secure my business name with DTI last year (SEXY NOMAD ENTERPRISES) and I’m scheduled to attend their free business-related seminars this coming August. Until then, I will just continue to enjoy blogging about the things I love and continue sharing a piece of my weird world to my silent readers (You are out there, aren’t you? If not, then this blog is no different from my personal diary which is what it really is anyway).
