I started this blog in 2006 when I was still a young twentysomething corporate gal seeking happiness and fulfillment at every opportunity. I was on the brink of depression until I decided to take control of my life and choose to be happy. I now work online on my own time, enjoying all the things that give me joy and pleasure, whether at home or while traveling. This blog records and summarizes my adult life's journey.
They say that the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Most photos on this blog are taken either by me or my husband, Peter. We use our Nikon D40, some with my Olympus u725SW (especially underwater shots) and a few with my Nokia fone (for unexpected photo taking). The more recent underwater shots and videos are taken with the use of GE and Agfaphoto HD recorder. I just realized that this is also a nice venue to practice and showcase my skills in photography! Weeee! ^_^

Living on an island for a while, I get to meet dfferent kinds of people, who, like me, have been to the many beautiful parts of my country, but unlike me, who have travelled almost all around the world. They tell me stories about their travels and we get to compare notes, tips and tricks on where to get the best travel deals and how to make sure that that we get the most out of our island experiences.
As expected, most of us have made our bookings and have found the cheapest rates online. We paid via credit card and then we just waited until the scheduled dates of our departure. We also try to look at hotel and resort reviews from real travelers and tourists in order to gauge what our future vacation would be like. Voila! Now we’re all here, having one of the best times of our lives!
Some of the people I meet are Europeans and are mostly British. There’s this one couple who said that if they’re not visiting southeast Asian countries, they would frequent Barbados to escape the chilly and rainy British climate. Hearing stories like this make me love my country more. Though I would love to have my own out of the country island vacation, at least I don’t have to suffer that kind of cold weather.
Speaking of an out of the country vacation, I would love to go to the U.S. and visit Florida. It’s known as the sunshine state and has many gorgeous white beaches. Another dream vacation would be to get my hands on some Caribbean holidays. Maybe soon. Who knows? Good things always happen at the right time. For now, I shall keep on listening to wonderful stories of island getaways hoping that one of these will also come true for me soon enough. I’ll also tell you more about it. Til then!
