I started this blog in 2006 when I was still a young twentysomething corporate gal seeking happiness and fulfillment at every opportunity. I was on the brink of depression until I decided to take control of my life and choose to be happy. I now work online on my own time, enjoying all the things that give me joy and pleasure, whether at home or while traveling. This blog records and summarizes my adult life's journey.
They say that the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Most photos on this blog are taken either by me or my husband, Peter. We use our Nikon D40, some with my Olympus u725SW (especially underwater shots) and a few with my Nokia fone (for unexpected photo taking). The more recent underwater shots and videos are taken with the use of GE and Agfaphoto HD recorder. I just realized that this is also a nice venue to practice and showcase my skills in photography! As you know, I’m still here in Boracay, on my 23rd day now. Holy Week is just around the corner and if there’s one thing that I am looking forward to the next few days, it’s SMART’s launch of their first live LTE network. I’ll be one of the first to try it together with blogger Jayvee and radio DJ Andi9! So excited! LTE stands for Long Term Evolution which is the latest standard in the mobile network technology. As such, it delivers mobile broadband speeds of up to 50Mbps and even up to 100Mbps in the future. Wooohooo! I can’t wait!
With SMART Evolution, people can:

I’ve been living here on this beautiful island of Boracay for 22 days now. This plan has been in the works for as long as I can remember (for a decade now I think) and I am finally living it! Financially, I never thought it was feasible enough. But when I finally did save up the money, the next challenge was if I could make it on my own.
Boracay is one of our country’s premier island destinations and I am still amazed at how well I am thriving in here. Gosh, I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since that night I landed here. It all seemed like yesterday. On and off I have been psyching myself up, urging myself that I can live on an island on my own. When it was finally happening, of course there have been moments when I got homesick, I just wanted to go home, and run back to the arms of my hubby. But that feeling is no longer as strong. I made this decision and I am going to see this through. Eleven more days to go.
Seeing that I am doing a good job in this island lifestyle, the new dream of someday being able to live from one holiday destination to the next now seems more and more real. Imagine, one day I’m here in Boracay and the next month, I’ll be somewhere more exotic or more exciting! How about taking advantage of an all inclusive holiday deals in Alcudia or exploring the mountains of Tibet next time? I believe anything is possible if I really put my heart into it. After all, this island dream came true and I think it’s right about time to turn new dreams into reality.
So, wherever I am headed next, I just know that it’s gonna be great. Life is too short and too beautiful to waste on negative energy. I know what I want now and I know I’m going to get it. Cheers!
