On November 2010, I found an opportunity to go to Boracay, work and live there on a shoestring budget like a local for a month, which is also the perfect chance for me to culminate this search of self, happiness and independence I have been doing since 2008. So I booked my flights, booked my accommodation and prayed that things go according to plan. It sounded exciting a first. Then I had no choice but to let go of one of my freelance jobs, then the Japan quake and tsunami happened, and then my plan didn’t seem as exciting anymore. As the days go by, and with everything happening around the world, the excitement is also mixed with a sense of fear and dread. Now that I’m only a few days away from my dream Boracay getaway, I dunno what to think. I still am exhilarated to have this chance and I am pervently praying that I will be able to complete the one month that I will totally be on my own. .. no husband to cater to my every whim, no friend to keep me company…
