I started this blog in 2006 when I was still a young twentysomething corporate gal seeking happiness and fulfillment at every opportunity. I was on the brink of depression until I decided to take control of my life and choose to be happy. I now work online on my own time, enjoying all the things that give me joy and pleasure, whether at home or while traveling. This blog records and summarizes my adult life's journey.
They say that the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Most photos on this blog are taken either by me or my husband, Peter. We use our Nikon D40, some with my Olympus u725SW (especially underwater shots) and a few with my Nokia fone (for unexpected photo taking). The more recent underwater shots and videos are taken with the use of GE and Agfaphoto HD recorder. I just realized that this is also a nice venue to practice and showcase my skills in photography! The BER months have started to arrive. For most of us, this means only one thing — Christmas is just right around the corner! And true enough, we now only have 100 days to go before we fully celebrate the most joyous time of the year! In fact, last weekend, I’ve done some major house cleaning and began preparing the house for the coming season. I thought of first putting up some Halloween decors but decided to do it some time later. But I managed to check if our Christmas lights are still working. I was happy to find out that they still are!
Anyway, will you be one of those people who like to do their Christmas shopping the last minute, doing everything all at the same time and subjecting yourself to unnecessary stress… painful stress more than you can handle? Or are you like the O.C. ones who do it little by little, one at time, in the most stress-free way possible and still get to enjoy the yuletide season just as you should?
Well, there are numerous ways to do this. Of course, you have to first come up with a list of the people you would want to give presents to, what your budget for each would be and when you plan to accomplish buying these gifts. Once you have that list, then it’s up to you how you want to go about it. At this day and age, you have the option to do your shopping online or offline. Of course, if you’re like me who wants to get everything done in the most hassle-free way possible, better do it online. No traffic, no huge physical effort, no worries of getting side tracked or robbed along the way. Online shopping is always the quickest and easiest way to get everything you want in just a few minutes. If your list is long, then you can divide your buying tasks per day or per week until you get everything you need.
One site that I find fabulous, that has an extensive array of stores, products and services, and is very easy to use is ShopWiki.com. Are you on the lookout for fantastic accessories at discounted prices? How about gifts for babies and kids? Care to send some sports products to your husband, brother or dad? Anything that you can think of, anything that you want, you can find it all right here.
Online shoppers, I don’t know if you’ve noticed this, but other sites will only give you shops that have paid for placement or have advertised on their sites. But with ShopWiki, they will give you everything on the internet. It works just like google which means that you will never run out of gorgeous finds, discounted offers and lots of perfect gifts!
As for me, you all know that on top of Christmas, Halloween is my favorite time of the year. Therefore, I will look around their Halloween stuff first before I proceed with my early Christmas shopping. ^_^
