First Vita Plus Questions… Answered.

September 30, 2009

I’ve been meaning to post here some Vita Plus related concerns. But due to the fact that I’ve been working round the clock to bring in more income for me and our family especially at this time of calamity and crisis, I didn’t have the time to do so.

Below are the answers to those questions related to what Vita Plus really contains and what Vita Plus really does. Please read on…

- The nutritional info at the back of every health product here in our country is made by DOST’s Food and Nutrition Research Institute. They put the nutrients they find based on their own research. The reason why many of  Vita Plus health drink’s vitamins and minerals are not listed there is because aside from the fact that many of these vitamins and minerals are water soluble, there are just too many of them. This is also why, if  you notice, at the bottom of that white nutritional info box at the back of the sachet, it says “For complete nutritional benefits, see product brochure/literature.”

Here is the brochure that contains the complete nutritional information of First Vita Plus:

~~~oOo~~~
- For those looking or asking where does it say that malunggay, talbos ng kamote, dahon ng sili, saluyot and kulitis (or uray or Pinoy spinach) are part of the ingredients, it is there on the sachet. It’s just not written using the terms or vernaculars we know. Because First Vita Plus is marketed worldwide, it is important that the scientific names of these vegetables be used instead. If you notice at the left side of the sachet, it says “From selected premium leaves of Moringa, Corchorus, Capsicum, Amaranthus, and Ipomoea, packed to meet your daily requirements of vitamins, minerals, micronutrients, anti-oxidants and immunity enhancing phytochemicals.”
Below are the corresponding vernaculars of these scientific names:
Moringa (this is malunggay)
Corchorus (this is saluyot)
Capsicum (this is dahon ng sili)
Amaranthus (this is kulitis or spinach)
Ipomoea (this is talbos ng kamote)
~~~oOo~~~

The sugar used in Vita Plus is not your usual refined sugar type (which is one of the ingredients of the top 5 cancer-causing foods). Notice how lethargic you feel after eating donuts and cookies. That’s the refined  kind of sugar you just took. The sugar that First Vita Plus use is SUCRALOSE. In our vernacular, yan yung unang katas ng tubo (sugar cane’s first extract) or molasses. Sucralose is healthy even for diabetics.  The reason for this is because sucralose is not immediately dissolved or absorbed by our body thereby helping in the maintenance of sugar levels. With refined sugar, you will definitely crash and burn. With sucralose, you will have a steady supply of energy that lasts for hours.

From Wikipedia:
Sucralose is a zero-calorie sugar substitute artificial sweetener. In the European Union, it is also known under the E number (additive code) E955. Sucralose is approximately 600 times as sweet as sucrose (table sugar),[2] twice as sweet as saccharin, and 3.3 times as sweet as aspartame. Unlike aspartame, it is stable under heat and over a broad range of pH conditions. Therefore, it can be used in baking or in products that require a longer shelf life. The commercial success of sucralose-based products stems from its favorable comparison to other low-calorie sweeteners in terms of taste, stability, and safety.[3]

From http://www.ific.org/publications/brochures/sucralosebroch.cfm

Is sucralose safe?
Sucralose has an excellent safety profile. More than 100 scientific studies conducted over a 20-year period demonstrate that sucralose is safe for use as a sweetening ingredient. The data from the studies were independently evaluated by international experts in a variety of scientific disciplines, including toxicology, oncology, teratology, neurology, hematology, pediatrics and nutrition. Importantly, comprehensive toxicology studies, designed to meet the highest scientific standards, have clearly demonstrated that sucralose is not carcinogenic.

Which regulatory bodies reviewed the safety profile of sucralose?
Among the regulatory bodies that have evaluated the safety of sucralose are the U.S. FDA, the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA); the Health Protection Branch of Health and Welfare Canada; Food Standards Australia/New Zealand, the European Union’s Scientific Committee on Food, and a host of others in South America and Asia. Sucralose is now permitted for use in over 60 countries.

 ~~~oOo~~~
- The term power herbs was coined for marketing purposes because in the health and/or medical industry, vegetable is not recognized as a means for healing. It’s just considered as one of the foods in the food pyramid.  Even “herbs” are not that popular nor is it studied thoroughly in med school. The medical and health industry focus more on medicines made of chemicals rather than herbs and vegetables. This is also why in  the First Vita Plus campaigns, we stress that it is a vitamin in a drink, a natural health drink because simply put, it is just really all of those five potent vegetables in raw, powder form.
~~~oOo~~~

- On the packet, it says 400 calories per 100g…and packet size is 22g.  So is each sachet  is 88 calories?  Yes, the math is right.  If this seems high, don’t fret coz these calories come from fiber content and sucralose (which according to wikipedia is a zero calorie sugar) which are both healthy and easily metabolized. This is why for those wanting to lose weight, the product must be taken at least 30 minutes before breakfast. For more slimming effect and for overall well being, whether you’re taking Vita Plus or not, it is best to drink 2 glasses of lukewarm water upon waking up in the morning. This will help flush out toxins in your system throughout the day.

 ~~~oOo~~~
- Vita Plus will seem expensive if you are a mere user. There is a way for dealers to get these products for free. But I would need you to meet with me or attend one of our free biz forums in the office if you want to know how. Vita Plus will also seem expensive if you treat it like coffee or juice. It is not coffee nor is it just merely juice. It is a health drink with healing properties as  evidenced by a lot of testimonials from all sorts of people of different walks of like. If you head over to firstvitaplus.net and browse at the testimonials section (http://www.firstvitaplus.net/testimonials.html), a lot of diseases have already been healed thru Vita Plus. In one of the health symposiums I have attended, I heard of a testimonial indicating that  liver cancer and leukemia were healed, thanks to Vita Plus.
Vita Plus is not just any health drink. It does not only boost your immune system, it is also a natural medicine. For only P35 per sachet, that’s already quite cheap.  When Peter was hospitalized last January due to severe tonsillitis, we shelled out Php50,000 for his mediciens, doctor’s fees, lab tests, accommodation, etc . Two weeks ago, we earned back the same amount after a month of doing the  First Vita Plus business part time.  So who am I to say that it is expensive?  Actually, the Vita Plus that we are taking now already come for free. And once you become a dealer, these sachets will eventually become free for you too. I will teach you how. So no more illness, back to good health and it brings in cash too. That’s the power of First Vita Plus.
 ~~~oOo~~~

I’d also like to add that First Vita Plus was formulated by Dr. Jaime Galvez Tan. He is a graduate of UP College of Medicine, a foremost herbalist in the country, former DOH secretary  (1992-1994), consultant for UNICEF, WHO, ADB, USAID and World Bank. He wouldn’t dare taint his reputation by coming up with a fraudulent product. Below are his credentials. You may also google him for more info.

He served as Undersecretary and Chief of Staff of the Department of Health from 1992 to 1994.Prior to that time, he held senior positions at the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), both at the national and the regional levels.

Earlier, Dr. Galvez Tan served as a rural health physician and trainer. He has been a consultant for UNICEF, the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), The World Bank (WB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and has been a Bill Gates Fellow since 2002.

Dr. Galvez Tan has widely published and has lectured in fifteen countries on different continents. The recipient of numerous awards, he is currently an International Consultant on Health Policy Development, Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of the Philippines Manila and Executive Director of the National Institute of Health. In 2003, he was unanimously elected as the Chair of the Global alliance for the elimination of Lymphatic Filariasis (GAELF) in a meeting held in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

In 2002, he was a Resource person of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) for its various courses on health management. He also heads the Health Futures Foundation, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit, non-governmental organization, which assists communities, NGOs and local governments in health care management.

Dr. Galvez Tan has the rare combination of the following expertise : solid grassroots community work in far flung doctor-less rural areas, national and international health planning and programming, experience as faculty of colleges of medicine and health sciences, clinical practice combining North American-European medicine and Asian and Filipino traditional medicine; national health policy development, national health field operations management, management of national health promotion campaigns, essential national health research, reproductive health and family planning and private sector health business operations. He has worked with non-government organizations, the academe, international development agencies and with the Philippine government.

There are others who had they fair share of negative experiences with the product. Some of them experienced constipation, LBM, pain, fever, etc. This can happen on the first month of taking Vita Plus especially for those who haven’t been exactly living a healthy lifestyle.  If the cancer patients undergo withdrawal symptoms when they go through chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Vita Plus patients experience varying levels of detox. We have to take into consideration the kinds of food we eat, when we eat them (even fruits, if you don’t eat them with an empty stomach, can cause a lot of discomfort and pain —http://vitaclub.multiply.com/journal/item/33/EATING_FRUITS ), how  often we eat, what’s our medical history, are we taking other medications, etc. All these things have to be taken into consideration because they will have an effect on the kind and length of your detoxification process. There are even others with worse kinds of detoxification. But they continued taking the product which resulted to eventual healing … healing of various kinds of illnesses and even several kinds of cancer. Simply put, the more unhealthy you are, the worse the detox will be for you but the better health you will eventually have through continuous intake.

When you take Vita Plus, you give your internal organs some sort of a “spa”. If we have external spa through massages (which sometimes can be painful, right?), with Vita Plus, we have the internal kind of spa. It will rid your internal organs of toxins, chemicals and other waste products that are not naturally taken out of your system by your mere  lifestyle and eating habits.

Vita Plus is raw vegetables. Have you tried eating raw, green, leafy vegetables? What do you think will happen if you try eating tons and tons of raw, green, leafy vegetables? I’m sure a lot of you will vomit including myself.  Our body won’t immediately respond favorably to it. It’s something new especially if we have been so used to eating the top 5 cancer causing foods and the likes (hotdogs, donuts, processed foods, chips& cookies, french fries).  As our body heals and regulates its systems thru First Vita Plus, we experience changes. Some of these changes will be uncomfortable at first but through continued use, you, like the other loyal users of Vita Plus (including myself and my family), will start to experience its health benefits.  For some of us, we’ve experienced these healing powers  after  a week, while the others like my parents, will learn to appreciate it after about a month . We  have already been ignoring our other vitamins in the cupboard like Centrum, ascorbic acid, iron tablets, etc.   Since the time that my family experienced these benefits for themselves ( renewed strength, healing of  long time wounds for my dad who’s a diabetic, weekly bouts of fever for Peter and my Dad now gone, energy boost for all of us,  weight loss for me, regular bowel movement for me, sudden absence of body & joint pains for me and my parents, quick recovery from sickness for all of us,  overall wellness), we have stopped taking other vitamin supplements and have only been taking Vita Plus.

To those who are skeptical, all you need to do is educate yourself. Do your own research.  Study the product. Study the company. Talk to people who have been healed. Talk to the people who have experienced bad side effects. Did they continue taking it? Perhaps, they have stopped after only a week or so thus failing to fully experience its healing powers. For me,  I am fully convinced that the product does what it claims to do.   I think it’s my fault that I was not able to share with you all these things from the beginning.  I myself am continuously studying the product. This is also one of the reasons why Vita Plus is not readily available in the market.. users must also keep educating themselves on what the product does. That’s why the Vita Plus Networks are tight and readily willing to help should anyone have any questions and why there are free health symposiums at the office everyday conducted by doctors from PGH…So that people will really know what they are getting into, health wise. Unlike all those other medicines and health products you see on TV being endorsed by popular artists and personalities (whom most of us believe even if we don’t really know  what the ingredients of these medicines or health foods are –that’s the power of ads and mass media talking), Vita Plus delivers.

There are studies these days  saying that many of our medicines are fake :(http://www.168.am/en/articles/3721)

There are studies that show even antibiotics can kill due to liver cancer:
http://www.naturalnews.com/liver_failure.html

So let’s just be careful. Let’s have an inquisitive mind especially when it concerns our health. Be well!!! ^_^

Typhoon Ondoy/Ketsana Slowly Killed People’s Apathy Including Mine

September 29, 2009

In the face of politics, adversities and calamities, I usually turn my apathetic shoulder coz I don’t want to feel hopeless or depressed about these things. I know I can only do so much and I know my limitations. Take for instance last Saturday… I logged off from work at around 8AM. Despite not having the chance to sleep yet, I was excited about my scheduled activities for that day. I was supposed to meet up  with new friends and acquaintances and I was pretty excited. 10AM, we picked up my girlfriend Pie from our village. It was raining hard but we really didn’t think much about it. After all, it’s always raining and I sort of got used to it.

“Oblivious to the devastation around us…”

Minutes along SLEX turned into 2+ hours and we haven’t even reached Bicutan yet.  We tried to take pictures to pass the time… But I started to get worried… We don’t listen to the news you see, so we didn’t know what was really going on. Peter was starting to get pissed off with the traffic, especially with this vehicle that kept cutting everyone while blasting its siren. Peter even asked me to take a photo of it so he can report it. In retrospect, I’m thinking that maybe the driver of this vehicle had a real emergency to go to considering that the whole Metro was being flooded unbeknownst to us:

At past 12 noon, I decided to cancel all my activities and Peter decided to turn back. He saw a u-turn spot being opened by the construction guys along SLEX so he took it. We thought we could immediately go home after that and just simply relax. Again, it took us another 2-3 hours before we were able to reach FILINVEST exit. Along the way, flood was rising especially in front of Hillsborough subdivision and we saw rubber boats being carried by men.

 This was the less flooded portion of West Service Road. We just passed by the area where water was already waist deep.

Earlier on, my brother started texting me. He’s in Marikina and there was flood everywhere. My sister and mom started texting me too asking how we were and if we’re okay.  Apparently, San Mateo was floodiing so quickly and they didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know what to do either. We were stuck in SLEX for the longest time, hungry and thirsty.  I just told them to take everything to a higher ground and to keep safe.They had no electricity so I told them to save the cellphone batteries they have left and resreve their load for real emergencies.

When we reached Filinvest, we decided to look for a place to stay since West Service Road seemed impassable. We had the smaller car with us and we didn’t want to risk  damaging it by going through the flood. We stayed at a gas station coz we needed to pee (after 5 hours on the road, our kidneys were bursting!). Most stores were closed too. We transfered to South Supermarket and stayed at North Park where we had a nice hot meal… our first meal for the day. I was really beginning to panic deep inside. Aside from worrying about my family, I was partly worried about our house too. I know there’s a leak on the kitchen wall that we haven’t had the time to fix and the drain at the balcony sometimes gets clogged by the leaves of my potted plants. I tried to ignore these alarming thoughts.

At around 6 pm, we reached our house to find out that my fears came true.Our kitchen was flooded and so was our bedroom, main bathroom and study room which were all on the second floor.  Tsk, tsk, tsk. I was cleaning the entire kitchen and second floor until 11pm.  I let Peter sleep this whole time coz I know how tired he was from the long and difficult drive plus he hasn’t been sleeping well for the past week due to his kind of work.

Come 11pm, the house looked quite decent again. I took a shower and relaxed with my hubby who was then awake as we watched TRUST ME, a funny TV series about advertising people which helps me understand Peter’s life some more. Then Ade, texted. He was so sweet. I guess some of our friends got worried coz we haven’t been online all day. That’s when I turned on my PC and saw the things happening all around…My God! The devastation… what we had to go through that day was nothing compared to what was happening to many people out there… suffering the severe effects of typhoon Ondoy.  It was overwhelming.  To think that I was feeling sorry coz we only had a jar of water left in the fridge, a bar of Toblerone, Marty’s chicharon and Vita Plus for late dinner.  We didn’t know that more people had it much worse. Things like this make me emotionally weak. Peter warned me against looking online or listening to the news coz he knows me better. But I promised him and myself that I will try not to be weakened by the situation. Instead, in my own little way, I started coordinating some more with my family first, making sure they are safe. My brother can’t be contacted at that point. Every few hours I texted my mom. I didn’t want to waste the little cellphone battery she had left so as long as I know they’re fine, I can sleep well. But they weren’t. They were running out of food and water and my brother was most probbaly stranded penniless, waterless and hungry. It was only the next day that I got news of my brother’s safety. And it was only today that we found out that Peter’s grandma was already found and is safe. BUT, our house in Bulacan got flooded up to waist level and Peter’s grandma’s house got flooded as well.

The entire thing is a wake up call for all of us. We are definitely living in the Age of Stupid  and  I know it will take a global overhaul for our world to be saved from extinction. Otherwise, it’s Mother Nature who will overhaul us like what’s already been happening in this decade. I don’t even want to think about that.

Anyway, thank God for people on Plurk, Facebook, Twitter and other microblogging and social networking sites,  more and more people sprung to action and tripled their efforts  in saving people’s lives.

This is goin to be a long journey. Even after Ondoy is gone, there’s still so much to build, so many lives to help. Not to mention that two more typhoons are scheduled to enter the country come Oct. 1. Let’s all pray and work together that we survive all this. Personally, I am praying for a miracle that the next two typhoons won’t hit our country. And if they do, I hope we can survive them. WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET.

Instituto Cervantes Stages the Grandest Spanish Film Festival in Asia

It’s a triple treat for film buffs as Instituto Cervantes de Manila brings back Película, the biggest annual Spanish Film Festival in Asia, at chosen venues in Metro Manila from October 1 to 31.

Due to the past successes of its first seven seasons, organizers have doubled the number of films (this year more than 40!), gone from one to three venues and lengthened the film festival. Cultural events have also been calendared, in line with the theme of this year’s festival: Locos por el cine or Adik sa Pelikula.

With new partnerships forged by Instituto Cervantes, the cultural arm of the Spanish Embassy to the Philippines, and the strengthening support from Spanish filmmakers, last year’s attendance by cinema enthusiasts is expected to increase this year. Last year, some 20,000 spectators attended the Festival.

“This year marks our 8th edition and we’re very proud of how far the Festival’s come in such a short period of time,” said Instituto Cervantes director Jose Rodriguez. “We believe Película has the potential to foster incredible growth in arts and entertainment and attract the best of the best-acclaimed Spanish and Latin American filmmakers to this area. We are especially proud of the reputation the Festival has developed over the years as a great local venue to feature and premier award-winning Spanish films.”

 Selection of films will be divided into four groups this year: Official section at Greenbelt 3 Cinemas featuring Spanish contemporary and award-winning films; Spanish & Filipino documentaries at CCP which is a selection of 12 documentaries that bear testament to the growing vitality of the genre in the two countries; Spanish Cinema in 8 Films at the College of Saint Benilde featuring eight classical Spanish movies; and a selection of Latin-American indie productions entitled Cine en construcción (Films in progress), also scheduled at College of Saint Benilde.

 I met some of my co-bloggers at the event: (bottom left) AJ San Pedro, Enrico Dee, LA Lomarda, (bottom right): Me, Enrico, AJ, (top right) Monique Lee, and Carl Valenzona

Película kicks off on September 30 with an opening night featuring the movie No me pidas que te bese porque te besaré (Don’t ask me to kiss you, because I will).  This comedy is about a man who is repenting his decision to marry and takes guitar lessons with “special” people to distract himself before his wedding. Gracing the opening night at the Greenbelt 5 Fashion walk area will be a dance performance by B612, a vertical dance company who was brought to Manila by Instituto Cervantes to display their world-class dance and lights to local audience.

Multi-awarded films such as El truco del manco (The one-handed trick), Una palabra tuya, Los girasoles ciegos (The Blind Sunflowers), Rotorno a Hansala (Return to Hansala), and 3 Días make their Philippine premiere at the film festival, which starts also on September 30 at the Greenbelt 3 Cinemas.

Other films include El Nido Vacío (Empty Nest), a comedy that explores the gap that occurs when children grow up and move away from home; and Dieta mediterranea (Mediterranean Diet), a story about a girl named Sofia who was regarded as the “best chef in the world” and the two men who helped her become a legend.

On October 7, Película gives tribute to Mexico’s film industry with the Mexican Cinema Night. Headlining this evening 2008 San Diego Latino Film Festival, La Zona (The Zone), a film about a wealthy compound surrounded by walls and surveillance system to protect the locals against the violence of the slums.

Running at the De La Salle University- College of St. Benilde (DLSU-CSB) from October 1 to 31 is a photo exhibition on the evolution of the Spanish cinema. Tagged as Crónica Visual del Cine Español (A Visual Chronicle of Spanish Cinema), the exhibit will be divided into the three periods of the Spanish cinema, aiming to recreate the journey of the films from the old Europe and Latin American tradition to the current contemporary style.

Alongside the exhibits at the DLSU-CSB will be a series of workshops on scriptwriting and editing as well as the showcasing of Latin American indie films. On October 14, 12:30 p.m., Chilean director Oscar Cardenas will grace the DLSU-CSB for the Asian premiere of his film Rabia.

Coffee was served after the Spanish movie premiere of CASUAL DAY so I hung out with my fellow new media friends…(L-R): Charina, Monique, SIre, Me, Mark, Dani

Meanwhile, from October 7 to 31 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) is a photo exhibit on Filipino Filmmakers by renowned Spanish photographer Óscar Orengo. Featured in the exhibit – the first of its kind in the country – are local directors and actors from different generations like Peque Gallaga, Brilliante Mendoza, Lav Diaz and many more.

That same day, October 7, No todo es verdad, a selection of Filipino and Spanish documentaries will also begin at the CCP Dream Theater.

“Age of Stupid” Premieres in the Philippines

September 23, 2009

Greenpeace is supporting the roll-out of global screenings of the much-awaited docu-drama-animation, “Age of Stupid” with a premiere screening taking place in 50 countries, in every continent – including Antarctica – on September 21-22, hopefully setting a new Guinness World Record for the largest ever simultaneous screening.

In the Philippines, Greenpeace held the premiere on September 22 at the Tanghalang Manuel Conde of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) for media, online reviewers, and environment network partners.  A “green carpet” gala screening will be held on October 13 at the Glorietta 4 Cinema 3 in Makati at 7:00PM.  Subsequent screenings are also being organized by Greenpeace and its partner organizations in the Global Campaign for Climate Action (GCCA).

“Our goal is to get this film in front of 250 million people, and hopefully create 25 million climate activists,” said Von Hernandez, Executive Director of Greenpeace Southeast Asia. “It might be an impossible goal, but we’d be stupid not to try.”

Age of Stupid is directed by Franny Armstrong (McLibel), and produced by Lizzie Gillett and Oscar winner John Battsek (One Day in September). It stars Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite as an old man living in the devastated world of 2055, watching ‘archive’ footage from 2008 and asking “Why didn’t we stop climate change while we had the chance?” It has been described by media and politicians alike as of vital importance and essential viewing to anyone who cares about the survival of our planet.

Greenpeace supported the premier screening, which coincides with the UN General Assembly in New York, as part of the campaign to get a deal that is fair, ambitious and binding at this year’s UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen in December. At the moment there is a huge gap between what needs to be done and what world leaders are promising to do. Greenpeace is asking rich countries, which account for majority of carbon emissions, to agree to more substantial emissions cuts, as well as to come up with a finance package for countries like the Philippines that are most vulnerable and least prepared to deal with the impacts of climate change.

“The Age of Stupid represents the biggest challenge humanity has ever faced. It’s fascinating and terrifying”
Gael Garcia Bernal, actor

“I was nodding to myself all the way through, thinking ‘How can I reduce my flights? ‘Can I install a wind turbine at home?’. It is definitely going to change my life. It was so powerful and so moving I wanted it to go on for another hour.”
Gillian Anderson, actress

“I thought the Age of Stupid was an incredibly powerful account of the effects of climate change, the urgency, of climate change and the reasons we must act as quickly as possible.”
Ed Miliband, UK Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change

As for me, I am deeply touched by the movie that I am motivated to cut back on shopping, use less airconditioning, recycle more and go back to basics.

The Age of Stupid is a 90-minute film about climate change, set in the future starring Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite.

August’s Simple Pleasures

September 21, 2009

I just had my period and as you all know, when this happens, hormones are really going haywire for many women like me. However, I am thankful that my menstrual cycle seems to be getting more and more regular (I used to have it just thrice or twice a year…yeah, it’s really crazy) but I believe my veggie juice is helping me out in that department. I had my period last month then this month and hopefully I’ll have it again next month and the months thereafter… So anyway, I was hormonal and I felt like I may be on the verge of burning out these days. And when I start to feel this way, I stop, review what’s been happening in my life and reassses if I should refocus and reprioritize. I guess I just needed to reaffirm myself that I am still able to enjoy myself despite the busyness of my very blessed life. Being a visual kind of person (as evidenced by this blog being full of pictures), one of the things I do to make myself feel better is to look at our old and recent photo albums.  That’s when I realize that despite my back to back jobs, biz and other activities,  I am still able to enjoy my life once in a while…. that there are still moments when I am just simply enjoying life’s little pleasures… Like last month for instance:

 At the top left photo, our front yard just used to be a vacant two-car garage with a bit of grass and plants at the side (July 2007). Then on the top right photo, as you can see, we had the inner garage transformed into a lanai (Dec. 2007). As the months passed and considering that we’re doing the household chores ourselves these days, I had the front yard cemented with rocks and pebbles. It was such a blessing! Coz not only did it become easier for us to clean the front yard, the neighborhood kids also stopped loitering on our property. I guess they were intimidated by the scary surface. Teehee.

 ~~~oOo~~~
 This was taken last August 30, when we got home from the 3-day Vita Plus Success Camp. It was pretty late but Peter was so kind enough to prepare some pasta dish for us. We were also able to open our bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon (despite our missing cork screw) which we shared with our friends (Jerry, Kuya Jom, She, Ces and She’s GF) . I missed our house so much that the sight of our old Christmas lights and my drums made me feel right at home and  peaceful again. ^_^
~~~oOo~~~

This was taken last August 31. Peter and I ran a couple of errands that day from The Fort to meet up with Pau, to Commonwealth Ave. in QC to Congressional  also in QC. It’s just good to know that despite the pace of our life, we can still stop and “smell the flowers” so to speak. We can still enjoy a good conversation with our friend Pau, we can still enjoy a good meal at one of our favorite coffee places, Figaro, and we can still meet up with people who are close to us like Gab, peter’s first cousin. Life is beautiful and I’m thankful that I am still able to enjoy some of life’s simple pleasures. AMEN!

Recent Financial and Personal Accomplishments

September 20, 2009

Yeah, after only 6 weeks of doing one of my passions, I wasn’t only successful in spreading health, wellness and extra energy among  some people in my social network, friends and family but I’ve also earned Php50, 175.00 total. WOW!!! That is some serious money. And I haven’t even really worked hard for it yet. All I did was just share my experiences the way I know how — through blogging, microblogging and chatting most of the time. I figured, since I blog about so many other things, places, products and services, why not share about the most influential thing in my life right now,  which is First Vita Plus, right? So that’s just what I did.

For someone like me, who until now, still don’t know the name of my neighbors and who is so busy with other things (I have 2 VA jobs… I let go of my 3rd one just so I can still do VTRs, acting, my nail art and lingerie biz on the side, plus do household chores and sleep!), the Vita Plus Biz is really the way to go if you want to earn some real money while advocating health at the same time. Their products, especially the vegetable juice drinks that taste like dalandan, melon, pineapple and mango are indeed miracle drinks!  Especially these days when all of us eat THE TOP 5 CANCER-CAUSING FOODS — hotdogs, french fries, doughnuts, chips/crackers/cookies and processed meats/bacons. Thanks to Vita Plus juice drink, Peter and I haven’t been sick since we started drinking it last July 28. And we don’t anymore  take our other multivitamins and supplements. Plus, we’re always bursting with energy so we can do more of the things we love to do! Like later, Sunday morning, after having been awake for 33 hours now as of writing this blog post, we’ll be heading to Batangas for some kayaking and snorkeling activity. It’s been so long since we last hit the beach! No thanks to the crazy weather we’ve been having for several months now.

With the Unang Hirit Segment Producer (girl beside me) and the camera crew

Anyhoo, the week passed like a blur. Tuesday afternoon, when I was supposed to be already sleeping, the segment producer and camera crew of GMA 7’s Unang Hirit dropped by the house to interview me regarding my Mobile Digital Nail Art Biz. I wasn’t able to catch when it was shown coz like I said, I was busy with work. And when Unang Hirit airs every morning from 6-9am, that is usually  my crunch time at work. Anyway, I did get calls from people inquiring about my nail art biz so I guess it already got aired.

After my interview, they started taking shots of my Nail Art Magazine

The rest of the week was just spent doing the laundry, cleaning the house, juggling two jobs at night and sending Vita Plus packages to people who would like to lose weight, get healthy, be more energized and basically improve their well-being. It’s a good thing that xendexpress.com’s courier goes to our house every time there’s a package that needs to be delivered. Otherwise, I wouldn’t really have the time on a weekday.

And oh, I met an American author online… His name is Dennis Hambright. He is based in Texas and is interested to try the Vita Plus juice drink, as well as bring the networking business there. But the thing that really made me say OMG was when he told me that he reads my blog and that he’ll send me a signed copy of his latest book, MERCENARY INTENT! This is so awesome! I never had an author personally send me a copy of his book before! I’m truly honored! Thanks  again,  Dennis!!! *blush*

Then my entire Saturday was spent at Vita Plus (coz honestly, that’s the only time I can really take care of the business) —  meeting for the first time my bookworm reader who got so interested with my blog post on HAPPINESS NOW, one of my favorite books written by Andrew Matthews, that he asked me if he can xerox my book… so I met him in person this afternoon while getting my Vita Plus checks and free  juice products. I also got to talk to “almost millionaires”, those people in my network who are now earning P100,00  a week!  And then I got to share the Vita Plus experience, their products and the business to new and old friends as well. Coz if I can do it by doing almost nothing for the business and earning this much, then I bet a lot of other people can do it better and earn more than me. My goal is to just spread the good news to everybody because this can be  one of the ways people can have better and healthier lives  for themselves and their families. Thanks to my very supportive  team of uplines, they are making everything so easy for me and my downlines as well.

Speaking of old friends, we also met  up with Tahnee at Dolci Divino, a new gelato cafe serving Italian food just behind Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Ortigas. It was such a fun girl bonding experience.  My mentor, Jerry Jimenez joined us too. Oh, did I tell you that he gave me an exciting assignment for this week? And that is to start and finish reading Napoleon Hill’s book: THINK AND GROW RICH. Yeah, I can’t wait! I’ll start later at the beach! We then headed to La Vista to visit Tita Tess for my lingerie stock and see Lora who just got back home from Jakarta. It was such a productive and profitable day fo me and Peter!  I’m still so energized until now that I just have to blog about my week before I catch some major zzzzs and enjoy the rest of my long weekend. ^_^

Those who want to more more about the health and wealth program of First Vita Plus, you can call or text me at 0918-9270850 or email me at jenjuan_1999@yahoo.com. I’ll be more than glad to assist you in your journey towards a better, healthier and wealthier life.  Good morning!!!
