Best Meal of the Day: Brunch with Bobby Chinn at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
June 23, 2009Asia’s high-octane chef Bobby Chinn shares a cup of coffee, a brunch staple, with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s Marketing Director Paolo del Rosario.
Right after our MOA visit, we immediately headed to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf located at The Fort, Taguig. An event was going on which happened to be open to all bloggers. Thanks to Azrael, Eric and Sire for telling us about it! Little did we know that Bobby Chinn was going to be there and Peter almost went ga-ga over him!
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf take brunch a notch higher by bringing in Discovery Travel and Living’s World Cafe Asia star Bobby Chinn.
Peter was intently watching Bobby Chinn the whole time!
Peter is such a fan! He always watches Bobby Chinn on TV! As for me, I’ve watched him before and I knew he’s a funny kind of guy but when I finally saw him talk in person… oh man! He was hilarious!!! I honestly almost fell off my chair from laughing so hard. The man has an extraordinary gift for gab, for a moment there I thought I was watching a stand up comedy show! And he is so adorable and cute too, like I want him to be my next boyfriend. Hahaha!
I was sitting on Bobby Chinn’s chair when we first got there. Then we were asked to transfer to another table. Teehee. ^_^
Too bad he is also fiercely loyal with his long time Singaporean girlfriend. How did I know? I asked him! Who’s to say he’s not in love if he has the patience to do that?! He’s kinda like Peter in a way — he’s cute, he’s funny and he makes yummy food! The latter is of utmost importance when choosing a guy to spend the rest of your life with. Teehee.
Notice Peter’s face? He was carrying this weird facial expression the whole time. I guess he really was star-struck that he couldn’t even talk to the guy so I went ahead and asked Bobby some intimate questions instead. Teehee. ^_^
I’m babbling. I guess his energy sort of rubbed off on me. Bobby Chinn was really awesome! Peter and I were glad we went. It was a very happy surprise. ^_^ And the desserts were great! Not too sweet, just the right taste. We had:
