Mahal, Happy 7th Anniversary
June 8, 2009Taken at Cabalen last Sunday, June 7, while having buffet merienda for late lunch.
The 7-year itch has finally ended. They say that the first 7 years of a couple’s married life is the most challenging of all. I am not just about to thwart that notion, for Peter and I did experience the worst in those years. We’ve had several “almost break ups” and a couple of other issues that I don’t even remember anymore. I’m just glad that this phase is over. Those seven years have made us a lot stronger, more mature and loving in our ways. The next question is: How do we keep the fire burning? I want to take it one day at a time. I want to savor every waking moment we are together. I want to cuddle more. I want to love you more. Help me show you how…
If tomorrow is judgement day
And I’m standing on the front line
And the Lord asks me what I did with my life
I will say I spent it with you
If I wake up in world war three
I see destruction and poverty
And I feel like I wanna go home
It’s okay if you’re coming with me
(Chorus):
Your love is my love and my love is your love
it would take an eternity to break us
it would take all the stars just to hold us
Your love is my love and my love is your love
It would take an eternity to break us
it would take all the stars just to hold us
If I lose my fame and fortune
And my home is on the streets
And I’m sleeping in grand central station
It’s okay if you’re sleeping with me
As the years, they pass us by
We stay young through each other’s eyes
And no matter how old we get
It’s okay as long as I got you
(Repeat Chorus)
If I should die this very day
Don’t cry cuz on earth
We wasn’t meant to stay
And no matter what the people say
I’ll be waiting for you
After the judgment day
