Fashionably Late, Cold & Wet
June 3, 2009June 2 was supposed to be a great day for me. I was looking forward to attending that evening’s fashion show at MOA featuring 14 designers. Ting of Protege was very kind to have sent me three ticket invites! Unfortunately, it was raining very hard that evening that it took me two hours to get a ride from Makati to MOA . I walked all the way to Greenbelt to get a cab. But all cabs were only willing to bring passengers within the Makati area. Bah! So I walked all the way to SM Ayala wearing my cute little fashion outfit under the pouring rain. Thank God for my umbrella, only my cute little green shoes were drenched. I tried looking for a bus but everything was full. So I went up and fell in line at the MRT station only to find out that I was in the wrong line so I had to go to where the tickets were sold then fall in line again all the way to the back. Finally, I was able to ride the cold train and got off at Taft Ave. station where I rode a jeep all the way to MOA. Naturally, by the time I arrived there, the fashion show was already over. Sigh. I was thankful for Ninette being there. She waited for me the whole time and we eneded up having late dinner at Tokyo Cafe and continuing my interview with her for my project at work. The evening was not wasted at all. But it could have been better. Oh, did I tell you that Peter had to work until the wee hours of the morning the next day? So at around 11 pm, I asked Ninette to drop me off at SM Ayala where I crossed the overpass and rode a bus all the way to Alabang. What a cold, wet evening it was for me. I missed working from home.
