Sexynomad Attends Philippine Fashion Week 2009

Like I said in my fashion blog, I was lucky to have been invited by one of the designers himself to attend this year’s Philippine Fashion Week (Holiday ‘09). The designer is Marlon N. Rivera. I’ve been hearing a lot of great things about him because he happens to be the Creative Director and President of the company I am training with at the moment (Publicis). But when I found out that he is a fashion designer too, I swear, I went ga-ga over him despite the fact that we haven’t been formally introduced. I’m afraid, I may somehow be “starstruck” when that time comes. Multi-talented people makes my heart beat so fast coz in a way, I wanna be like them too. ^_^
Anyway, the experience actually was not as glamorous as it seems to be. For one, my hubby Peter and girlfriend Ninette were at SMX Convention Center at 7 p.m. coz we didn’t wanna be late. It says on the ticket that gates of Function Rooms 3&4 will open at exactly 7:30 p.m. But I guess, producing a humongous project such as this can be very toxic that guests were only allowed entrance at around 8:30 p.m. On the other hand, if I wasn’t wearing my 3 1/2 - inch killer Mary Jane shoes, I would’ve enjoyed watching the eye candies parading my view. ^_^
Over all, it was still an awesome event. Marlon Rivera’s collection were fashionably chic and wearable; colors used were very neutral (black, grey, silver, brown, blue) and the texture of the fabric seemed pleasing, comfy and light. I really wonder where I can buy his collection? Hmmm… that’s one topic I can actually use when I finally get introduced to him one of these days. Hehehe. ^_^
