Here’s our favorite video of Disney’s drummer boys. They’re just so amazing!

Let’s have a break from all these Halloween posts for a while. Though I am both excited and anxious about our upcoming Siquijor trip this weekend (Nov. 1-3), I want to continue first with my long overdue Hong Kong travelogue… Happiness!!!!
~~~oOo~~~
It’s been almost a year since Peter and I went to Hong Kong and it’s only now that this series of travelogues is about to come to an end (awwww). For those who want a bit of a background about this trip, and especially for those who want to get some information on how to travel to Hong Kong the Sexy Nomad way, do read my previous posts: Hong Kong Arrival, Hong Kong City Tour, Lantau Island, Big Budha and Po Lin Monastery, Night River Cruise.
For this travelogue, I have nothing else to say except that Disney Land is truly a wonderful world for the young ones and the young at heart. I really felt like a kid the whole time we were there! So since I’ve run out of words to describe the experience, let me just share these tons of pictures we have…
Going There
Checking-in at Disney Hollywood Hotel
* The stay cost us around Php10,000 for one night but it was all worth it! Next time we go to Disney, we’re checking in at the Disney Castle Hotel. It’s a bit pricier than the Hollywood Hotel at Php12,000/night, but we are so willing to spend that much if only to experience this big happy place once again.*
Going to Disney Park
Inside Disney Park
Shops! We Want All!!!
The Disney Castle… WOW!!!
Peter and I thank everyone who celebrated Halloween with us last weekend. It didn’t happen the way I planned it which is a good thing coz I tend to be like “Monica”, the one with the OC tendencies in FRIENDS. And following a schedule of activities can be boring for most people I know. So by letting everyone do what they want, we definitely brought down the house that Saturday night ’til the wee hours of the following morning.
THANK YOU Tita Cheryl, Ninette& Anmarie (our early birds…came in as early at 4pm); My sister Abba and Chris (who are staying with us for a mini vacation); Koryn, Joan, Michelle & Daena (my co-reggae groupies); Odhe (my GSIS bro who came all the way from work and still has work the next day); Penny (our singing sensation that night), Rico (our sweet giant rabbit), Jana (my Bora twin) and her bf Ronald (nice to finally meet you!); Bim (my Tony Stark that evening *kilig!*), Marco (a very hardworking dude who brought his work with him that night…wow!), Jolo (it was a pleasure to finally meet you!) and Brian (my new crush…*melt*!); Rea (our friend/blockmate from Ateneo) & Dotty (our batchmate from Ateneo too); Jayvee (who came as Uma of PBB …we missed Phoebe!); Helga (who came all the way from Antipolo wearing her Korean outfit); Anne (in her cool Puta Red shoes); Ernest & Peachie and Marichit (our Wiccan friends).
Some people played Wii, some passed the mic around and played with the videoke the whole time, some people had their tarot cards read, some simple talked and bonded, some jammed with the music and played with the guitar and drums… It didn’t seem as Halloweeny as the previous years with all the beautiful noise we were all making… well, except for Marco’s freaky experience with our Study Room door being locked when it really wasn’t plus two ghosts who according to Anmarie (my gf with a third eye) were visiting, I felt that everyone had a good time. Plus our supply of alcohol was bottomless with Peter preparing his different concoctions for everyone —- Appletinis, Citrus Burst, Bubblegum Yum plus the usual Rhum and Coke, Cosmopolitan, beers, wines, etc. which made everyone pretty drunk. It was also the first time that I had two crushes come to the party…yay!!!!
Crush # 1 — Bim was wearing his Tony Stark costume which I soooo looooved and adored!!!! I practically went gaga and threw myself at him the moment he stepped into our door! It still makes me smile every time I remember that moment. Y’all know how I love Tony Stark and that definitely made my night! Plus Bim is simply a great person to begin with. His girlfiend is so lucky! I hope to meet her next time. So… you can just imagine how crazy I went over him. Hehehe.
Crush # 2 — Brian simply made my heart skip a beat with the way he played with my drums. He was sooo good! He made it look so easy. But when I tried it myself, I may need more practice than I expected. Maybe he can teach me some more next time. Hehehe. Plus he has this certain aura about him that just simply melted my heart. He seemed such a nice guy with a good soul and great heart (how many times have I mentioned the word ‘heart’ in this paragraph?! Hihihi!). Any girl would be lucky to have him for a boyfriend, I’m sure. I’m pretty good with my intuition and believe me when I say that he is a keeper.
Anyway, this may be our last house Halloween party. A part of me is thinking that we may be too old for these things next year. And who knows what “pakulo” we’d come up with next time? Again, thanks guys and enjoy the rest of your Halloween! Oh, by the way, despite warning regarding Siquijor’s mysticism, Peter and I are still pushing through with our plans this coming weekend. Please pray for us!
So, as I’ve said, Halloween will be a month-long celebration for us. Last weekend, after Peter and I did some groceries for the upcoming party (read: alcohol buying spree), he whipped up a concoction with vodka, blue curacao and some other stuff and it tasted divine. So by the time we went to the semi-plurkfiesta over at Bona Coffee, I was already tipsy (*hic!*). And at the risk of being ridiculed, I wore my semi-Halloween costume too! I just want to declare to the world how much I love the season!
I looove Phoebe’s Plueys! I will buy myself a pair this weekend. Yay!
L-R: Jayvee,Phoebe, 2 gory Bona Coffee waiters and me. I fit well with ‘em waiters, hehe!
Anyway, that fiesta was attended by me, Peter, Jayvee, Phoebe, JM and his lovely wife Beverly. We may be few but we had an awesome time! And just to prove how much we enjoyed talking about geeky and funny stuff, we said good bye to each other thrice! The stories and funny anecdotes just kept on pouring. If it weren’t for my friend Ninette who was waiting for us at The Fort that night, the mini plurk fiesta could’ve gone on until 1am. So to our delight, we’ve invited JM and Beverly to our upcoming Hallowiin Party. Yay! I do hope they can come.
Speaking of our gimmick with Ninette, as usual, we went to our favorite hang out — Embassy Cuisine. I was still donning my semi-Halloween costume. People there may have thought that I was too early for their costume party (which will happen on Oct. 31) but I didn’t care. Carry lang. Cuisine was not as crowded so we were able to do some serious girl bonding. And to put icing on our cake, Anton, the handsome DJ I was adoring last time we went club hopping, dropped by our table and we had a bit of chit chat. Yay!
~~~oOo~~~
Next on our agenda is the Hallowiin Party this weekend. There’ll be tons of fun and spooky activities to do! If I am lucky, my bestgirlfriends with supernatural abilities will be there. Peachie (who is a real Wiccan) will do Rune Stones reading and she might even give us some tips on how to cast bad kulam for those who are interested. And Anmarie (who has her third eye open and is actually requesting Peter to close it) can pinpoint or maybe even invite a friendly ghost to come join us at the party. All of Peter’s horde will also be there so don’t fret if you feel like you’re seeing spirits and elementals at the corner of your eye. Those would be Peter’s shape shifters. They’re pretty safe and actually quite helpful so don’t worry. Then I can do Tarot Cards and Palm Reading. Peter will do Aura Reading. There’ll be a scary flick showing. I have a makeshift QUIJA Board we can play with. And of course, Wii, jamming and videoke ’til the wee hours of the morning! Oh what fun!
~~~oOo~~~
The culmination of our Halloween celebration will happen in Siquijor on Nov. 1-3. Peter and I cancelled our Club Panoly booking in Boracay and decided to explore Siquijor instead. I hope we won’t be too spooked. From what I hear, Siquijor is a really nice place. And I do pray that we can go back here in Manila in one piece, thus the other spells I did from Tony Perez’s Book “MGA ORASYON”.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
It has crossed my mind to seek another lifestyle…. maybe find a different career or finally doing my long lost dream of staying in an island, for at least a month. It could be in Bora or somewhere more secluded and less civilized. My work has been very stressful lately and my ISP has not been cooperating well at all. I again worked at Bona Cafe last night and the tasks had been a complete nightmare. When I got home, my ISP was still out. It’s only this morning that it came back on and who knows when it will turn off again. Hopefully I get to finish this quick post first. Anyway, with a lot of time in my hands, Peter and I added a few more Halloween decors to the house. I also took out my Halloween books (Kulam & Orasyon, both by Tony Perez, Tarot Sutra, Tarot Bible, Book of Dreams, Book of Magic and Spells, etc. — which I should study again in time for our Halloween Party) and sampled a couple of horror films.
For some reason, these scary stuff made me happy. I really love Halloween!!!! Anyway, by the time we finished sampling our nth scary flick, the sun was already shining. Peter went to sleep while I was left in hyperactive mode. Considering the fact that I am seriously contemplating leaving my job (therefore, no more dollars), I ought to start saving some more. So my plan of buying a gory halloween costume went down the drain and my brain started working its magic. I searched online for costumes that I can wear and match with the pieces I have in my wardrobe. And I came up with this….
Not bad, huh? For the past years, I’ve always worn my Elvira / Vampire look. Now I want something different. There are two things I need though: to eat less (thereby saving money again) so I can be a wee bit slim; and buy a nice cheap eye patch to match my outfit. Yay.
