Our Own Version of the Word Camp After Party

 We are the “short skirts” as refered by Hans. LOL.

No, I didn’t attend the Word Camp itself due to my very hectic  money-making schedule,  sleep deprivation and of course, partying at the Oktoberfest ’til the wee hours of the morning, just a few hours before the camp started. But I did go to the after party to accompany Peter, hoping to have some fun. I’ve never been to Mag:Net in Boni High Street, the venue of the said event. I had no idea what kind of a place it was. Peter and I were just hoping to drop by, see how everything was and eventually transfer somewhere else. One of our bestfriends, John, would be meeting up with Peter too for some serious business.

While we were waiting for Ninette, we saw Mica. Camwhores that we were, we took some pictures first before we let her go.  It was nice to  see a familiar face, such a pretty one at that. As you all may know by now, I am sort of anti-social and I’m not comfy being around a big group of strangers.  But if my friends will be there, then it’s no problem.

Well, we got there on time, at around 9 pm. We saw a bunch of people there, laughing and having fun. I thought they were the WordCampers. Unfortunately, it was a different group altogether and it seemed like they were having a private party of their own. Good thing I was with Helga, Peter and my very good friend Ninette. Helga talked to three girl bloggers she knew and it was time to catch up with Ninette and so that’s basically what we did.

Then some of the people in that other private group started singing on stage. That’s more like it! Ninette and I stood from our seats and simply danced to their music.

The whole venue was still quite empty and we were starting to get bored. At around 10:30 pm, the WordCampers finally arrived but we already had other plans. I let Peter introduce me to Bloggie and a few of the other bloggers there (Gosh, I already forgot who, I’m so sorry.) before finally transfering to Embassy Cuisine where we hoped to get some action. 

It’s been a long while since we last checked out that place. I heard it looked different now. And it did. Instead of the soft and subdued lights they used before, the place was now entirely illuminated with red light. It’s a bit brighter than what we’re used to but it’s okay. Ninette’s friend, Anton, was the DJ that night and I couldn’t wait to see if he’s any good. As it turned out, he was! He played some pumpin’ music and us gurls just danced the night away. There were some interesting personalities around. Keempee de Leon made eye contact with me several times (Does that mean he liked the way I looked?) In fairness, he looked extra cute that night. Guys with thick eye brows are really my weakness.  And there were also other cuties. checking us out.  How sweet!

I ordered a Bloody Mary and Helga had her beer while Ninette had her coke light. We danced, chatted and made plans of going back to Mag:Net to sing and dance some more.  Unfortunately, by the time we got back there at around 1am, everyone has already left! What a bummer! Too bad, me and my girls had wild plans for Matt, being tipsy and all. LOL. Well, maybe next time. We still have next Saturday to look forward to. Me and more of my girls will go club hopping to Embassy, Ascend, Jaipur, Fiama and Alchemy. See yah!
