I started this blog in 2006 when I was still a young twentysomething corporate gal seeking happiness and fulfillment at every opportunity. I was on the brink of depression until I decided to take control of my life and choose to be happy. I now work online on my own time, enjoying all the things that give me joy and pleasure, whether at home or while traveling. This blog records and summarizes my adult life's journey.
They say that the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Most photos on this blog are taken either by me or my husband, Peter. We use our Nikon D40, some with my Olympus u725SW (especially underwater shots) and a few with my Nokia fone (for unexpected photo taking). The more recent underwater shots and videos are taken with the use of GE and Agfaphoto HD recorder. I just realized that this is also a nice venue to practice and showcase my skills in photography! Weeee! ^_^

and I mean the overall difference!
I was organizing my blog entries an hour ago and I spotted this photo from my Corregidor entry last year. I compared it to a photo taken just last Monday evening (Feb. 18, 2008) and my God! I was so surprised with how different I looked. I mean, taking away the curly long hair, colored contact lenses and make-up, I should pretty much look the same, right? But my eyebags then were just so appalling! Those were the days when I was so stressed and pressured with work and with MDP. And look at me now. Barely a month has passed since I resigned and I already look 5 years younger…
Thank God for Peter and Popsy. They truly are God’s gifts to me…
P.S., Peter said he looked younger in the photo taken last year. I’d say he looked fat. I think since he got a bit thinner, he looked more yummy to me. He’s just always tired from work. Don’t worry babe. I’m here to make you feel a whole lot better. *wink,wink!*
Anyway, it’s another long weekend.I know I said I want a grand vacation but I’ll have to settle for a wake boarding day trip at Lago De Oro for now, plus a late night dinner at Tagaytay. We’ll have the long vacation next time. It’s quite an adjustment being parents to Sam. we’d have to sacrifice having long vacations like we’re planning to have this very weekend (I wanted to go to Siquijor… sigh.) But Sam has an appointment with her vet this Sunday and we couldn’t skip that. It’s crucial for her treatment.
Oh well. There’s always next time. Also, I’d be leaving real soon. I’d be away for a long while. I’m just hoping that there’s wi-fi where I am going. Anyway, have a happy long weekend, folks!
