New Zealand Break

February 17, 2008

The second month of the year is almost over. Summer is fast-approaching and so do a number of holidays and long weekends. This of course equates to one fun thing — vacation! It’s always better to plan your R&R ahead of time to avoid last-minute hassles at work and at home. Whether you plan to do it this summer or in the next Thanksgiving or Christmas, it’s good to lay down everything on the table now so you would know whether you can afford it financially or time-wise. Most households have both parents working for income, so if you plan now, everybody, including kids who are still studying and whose social networks are expanding, can work around a particular vacation schedule that everyone in the family can work around with and enjoy. Now, when that’s out of the way, the next question to ponder upon would be “Which destination to visit?”.  I know there are so many wonderful destinations to choose from. But there’s one that’s screaming to me “Visit me! Visit me!” at the moment — New Zealand.

New Zealand is the land of milk and honey so to speak. The air is so fresh, everything is so clean and I heard there are more sheep and cows there than people. That is how refreshing this country is! Add to that the fact that the trilogy of Lord of the Rings was taped there. Isn’t that amazing?! Of course, aside from it being such a fresh place, it also has its own arts and entertainment scene ranging from their superb local music landscape, entertainment venues, cultural heritage sites, art galleries and fashion exhibits. Everyone in the family will definitely enjoy these things as they have various choices to pick from. Perhaps, as the kids check out the local music scene, parents can enjoy their alone time looking at art galleries and the like. Isn’t this wonderful? All family members will never run out of stuff to check out and visit, whether they do it together for some bonding session or separately to help them expand their relationships and network!

Now, in terms of where to stay, there are also a lot of cozy, affordable and chic hotels to choose from: New Zealand Hotels, Auckland Hotels, Wellington Hotels, Christchurch Hotels, Queenstown Hotels.

Any of these city hotels can be your kickoff point as you begin to explore the many awe-inspiring, amazing and glorious sceneries and panoramic backdrops New Zealand has to offer. So, what are we all waiting for? Start planning now!
