I started this blog in 2006 when I was still a young twentysomething corporate gal seeking happiness and fulfillment at every opportunity. I was on the brink of depression until I decided to take control of my life and choose to be happy. I now work online on my own time, enjoying all the things that give me joy and pleasure, whether at home or while traveling. This blog records and summarizes my adult life's journey.
They say that the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Most photos on this blog are taken either by me or my husband, Peter. We use our Nikon D40, some with my Olympus u725SW (especially underwater shots) and a few with my Nokia fone (for unexpected photo taking). The more recent underwater shots and videos are taken with the use of GE and Agfaphoto HD recorder. I just realized that this is also a nice venue to practice and showcase my skills in photography! Weeee! ^_^

Every February, Xaymaca Bar at Timog, QC, celebrates Bob Marley’s birthday by inviting all sorts of reggae bands (including Session Road which is not a reggae band at all but also plays nice reggae covers) and letting them play various Bob Marley reggae music including the bands’ own songs, respectively. The first time I attended this kind of event was around 2 years ago with Peter and Popsy. Last year, instead of going to Xaymaca, we went to the MTV Ziggy Marley Fest held at Sofitel Philippine Plaza. And this year, it was a last-minute decision to actually attend this fest. Upon confirmation that my favorite reggae band will be making an appearance (Brownman Revival), Peter and I immediately decided to go right after dropping by the Pinoy Kalye event, even if it would mean that we’d have to stay there until the wee hours of the next morning since Brownman will be coming from another gig at 70’s Bistro in Anonas, QC. Well, we made the most out of it though. Thanks to Michelle’s bottle of wine, I had my supply of alcohol for the night and the extra money I brought was used to buy rasta accessories which I plan to wear on my next Xaymaca night. From what I remember, these were the bands who played: Reggae Mistress, Indio I, Peace Pipe, Session Road, Badjao, Collie Herb and of course Brownman Revival. I think there were still others but I forget. My girlfriends and I were so busy dancing and "wasting" the night away… Hehehe.
