Last Friday, Feb. 8, was quite a hectic day for me. It was my fault though. Having celebrated the Chinese New Year ’s Eve til the wee hours the previous night, I naturally woke up late the next day and started with my "errands" at a fashionably tardy rate too. Donning a pair of maong pants and a comfy flowing top with a pair of slip-ons, I rushed out of the house and headed to MLNW shop in Makati where I was to meet with my designer, Isa ALvarez of Maria. Thank heavens, she was
still in a meeting and traffic along the South Luzon Expressway wasn’t so bad that I got there 30 minutes earlier than our rescheduled time. The shop was still closed and I hate not doing anything so I walked along the path of Guijo street and at another corner, I found CCW Cafe, as recommended by Isa. What’s more interesting aside from their affordable coffees & lattes is their free wi-fi services. Woohoo! Naturally, with my pocket pc, I blogged away for a while.
Anyway, fast forward to after the fitting, I was supposed to do groceries and buy stuff. But since Peter was busy taking care of family issues, I decided to just have my hair done somewhere in Greenbelt (Bench Fix It), buy Ninette’s birthday gift and shop for what I’m gonna wear too. You see, being a Friday and all the traffic it entails, there was no way for me to go home, dress up and be at Embassy Cuisine in time for Ninette’s birthday bash. So I did everything right there. And voila! By 10:30 p.m.,Peter picked me up and off we went to (yet) another night galore full of loud music and fun!
We were the last guests of Ninette who arrived at the venue. Cuisine was packed and it looked like another kind of party was hoppin’ the place! Jägermeister was sponsoring an amateur competition for La Salle DJs and we were caught in the middle of everything! In no time at all, I was asked by one of the gorgeous promo boys to join in their Jägermeister drinking contest. So were Ninette, Anmarie and Dodgie. I didn’t win (Thank God!) but I sure did have fun. Oh, and when asked by the host what my age was, in a heartbeat I said I was 21 years old. Hahaha!

The rest of the evening was "wasted" on alcohol-indulgence and listening to some loud (irritating even) amateur DJ music. If it weren’t for Ninette’s and my other friends’ perfect company, I wouldn’t be able to stand that place. Happy Birthday Ninette! Now you know how much we love you.
