Thanks to Pam Ayson, a media advocate I met during the Fun Board Cup, and my new "twin", Jana Estrevillo, a video graphic artist and producer who owns her company, Toinks Innovations, I was super lucky to have been invited to a great launch party of a new clothing line by Isa Alvarez — Maria. Located at Make Love Not War (MLNW) shop at San Antonio Village in Makati, yesteday’s launch featured Isa’s colorful party dresses and stylish travel bags reminiscent of the 60’s, that era when people weren’t afraid to express who they are, that generation of flowers and rainbows coloring the spirits of individuals living the carefree life.

True enough, that’s how Isa is. She makes pretty things and travels to beautiful places. She’s not
afraid to release her inner soul through her thoughtful creations and just keeps on exploring to do more and be more. In the future, she’s considering having an accessories line of her own and other "thingamajigs", as she calls it. When I asked her where the name Maria came from, smilingly she said "It’s actually from my other name Marie. I’m Isadora Marie Avarez. But I think Maria sounds better." And with that, she enthusiastically hopped from guest to guest making sure everyone was having a ball and enjoying their wine.
These past several days that I’ve been building my online sites, I can’t help but think of more, efficient and effective ways on how I can spread the word some more. There have been (shameless) plugging of my Mobile Nail Art Biz as well as my Garage Sale Biz on all my online accounts such as here on my personal blog, my facebook and my friendster account. I have also been linking all these back here so people who visit my site can know about them some more. And of course, I’ve been emailing people on my contact list. But there are only so many people I know and I am hoping that these friends and acquaintances of mine, in return, will also forward my biz shout out to their respective friends and families as well. That’s how networking works and I guess, for baby entrepreneurs like myself, this is how it pretty much works too — by relying on the good old word of mouth. But that can only get me so far.
So what I did is research some more. I came across an idea online which would entail a bit of an investment but it might be worth it. It dawned on me that people like me, especially those who have big businesses and would like to create more profits for themselves, can actually buy email lists and email lead lists for greater return of investment! These emails are actually Business Leads that will bring our ventures to the next level. Plus, we can be sure it’s spam-free and this type of email marketing is legally compliant! What do you think?
