I can never sit still, for I am a free spirit. And I go wherever and whenever the wind blows me...

Thank You 2007, Hello 2008!

January 1, 2008

I honestly don’t know what to tell you guys to welcome 2008. For one, I’m still so very sleepy from last night’s affairs, two, blame it to my hibernation mode still kicking in, and three, I’m just simply happy. But of course, I don’t want the first day of the year to pass without officially welcoming it. So, let me just recap the special things and events, ALL THE BLESSINGS SO TO SPEAK,  that  changed me and which I am very grateful for this past year.

Wow, I was reading some entries and the MDP thing really stressed me out. Good thing I passed all the qualifications exams though and I was able to survive this month  with my wits still intact.

Peter and I got the book, FRAGILE THINGS by Neil Gaiman but up til now, I still haven’t read it. This just means that I have one more “new” book to read this year. Hehehe.

I really loved my super curly hair then!

First surfing trip with our surfboard, Didi.

Times spent with friends.

And of course, window shopping for a new house.

Battling my impending depression by watching a funny play.

Papa’s visit and the numerous times we’ve spent with him, whether at Sofitel during Valentine’s where we tested our new Olympus Miu Underwater Digital Camera, window shopping for a new house, lounging at Manila Pavilion, eating at Mandarin, sponsoring my 29th birthday at Isla Verde together with my folks and Peachie, and our 2nd surfing trip with our bestfriends.  Talk about living a luxurious life, huh? Well, it was Popsie who really let me experience all that, without guilt involved. Unlike my grandfolks… but that’s another story I’d like to close. Anyway, thanks, Pops! You’re superb!

An emotional Valentine’s Day with my hubby, Peter.

A memorable post-birthday celeb in Baguio with my girlfriends.

Being able to acknowledge the fact that life has been good to me for the past 5 years…

I was so glad Peter survived the Yoshinoya Eating Contest! I really thought he’d pass out from all the fatty food he was ingesting!

My love affair with Brownman Revival was still going strong.

The happiness I felt while getting inspired to do a beach wedding of my own. We even scouted for some wedding venues. How exciting! It might not have come into fruition yet but I am hopeful that someday, it will come true…

Being able to appreciate my love for the arts on a lazy weekend.

Being able to face the challenges of our very rigorous Management Development Program (MDP).

Having a blast at the first i.ph bloggers’ meet.

A welcome summer trip to the Island of Capones

Rocking the city with the Reggae Fest!

I knew it was going to be a tough month for me since MDP has already begun and there’s no way I can dodge my life of being a student for six months. But I was thankful that I still managed to spend the Holy Week in one of our country’s prime beach destinations, Palawan (the city, the river, the islands and other tourist spots), and did another weekend surfing trip with friends.

This month wasn’t as busy and exciting as the previous years (thanks to MDP) but at least, I still managed to have some reggae fun with my fave band, Brownman Revival, battle another bout of depression, gave in to laziness a bit and made another person happy, spent a bit more quality time with Peter and represented our functional group in the office sports fest (I didn’t like it but I learned to be grateful about it).

I still found the courage and determination to make the most out of my life as an MDP student.

Experiencing Trinoma before finally leaving QC.

Balancing my time among my hubby and friends.

I felt very blessed for having acquired a new home in Alabang (thanks to Popsie!) and having to start an exciting life down south.

My ever strong love affair with Brownman Revival.

Surviving the torture of thinking that I had skin cancer.

Finding the time to travel again.

Having been blessed with 5 blissful married years with Peter.

Surviving the MDP Final Exams with flying colors! (Oh, thank you, God!)
