Travelogue XXV: Wake Boarding Trip Part I

November 18, 2007

Posing outside Josephine’s that cold morning…

On our way to Calatagan, Batangas, we first stopped at Josephine’s for a fantastic breakfast. But it turned out that during weekends, they only offer buffet breakfast (priced at Php275 for each person, clean plate) and ala carte menu is not available. Peachie, Marichit, Peter, Jamie and Rea were okay with it. However, I was only looking for pancakes (and I’m always "lugi" at buffet… I can only eat so much). Although I told them that they can eat there and I’ll just have my breakfast later, I think out of the goodness of their hearts, they agreed to just find another nice breakfast nook some place else.

Welcome to Mile Hi…

We went back and passed by Leslie’s. Beside it is a spot with several food chains and we decided to check them out. They have Starbucks, Hen Lin’s, Teriyaki Boy, etc. But we got intrigued with this new diner (or maybe it’s already been there a while I’m not so sure)  called Mile Hi.

They serve huge servings of nachos, pancakes, coffee (refillable if it comes with a combo meal), American, Continental and Filipino breakfasts, yum yum! Afterwards, we explored the area  a bit. At the back, one can already see the magnificent view of Taal far below the cliffs. And with the misty air and cool wind touching our faces, our morning experience was surely rejuvenating!

To be continued… Watch out for a fantastic clip. Guess who perfected one round of Knee Boarding…?
