A Date With My Best Friend

August 12, 2007

 Sporting vintage dresses…mag-bestfriends talaga.

Mer and I rarely see each other. Blame it on  her crazy work schedule in Globe and blooming love life (yihee!). Anyway, before she goes to Cagayan De Oro on August 22 to be with her new love, I took advantage of our time last Friday and grilled her about what’s hot in her life these last couple of weeks. The interrogation happened at the International Sushi Bar, which Mer recommended for it’s palatable and affordable sushi. 16 pieces of 4 types of sushi only cost P179, Not bad! Mer and I even got to share it! It’s just across DOME Cafe at Edsa Shangrila.

She’s very much in love from what I saw in the glittering twinkle of her eyes and I’m truly happy for her! I do hope to meet THE BEST MAN someday and I’m sure I’ll like him instantly. Any guy who makes my best friend all happy and giddy like this definitely has my vote.

On my end, I also told her about  this crush of mine (let’s call this person Teamagochi) who  really got me so thrilled  the other day. It’s just that when Tamagochi is around, my heart always beats so fast and I can’t breathe properly. If only I can tell Tamagochi about my crazy feelings then maybe I can act normal around this person. I also told Peter all about it and he used his “voodoo” on me by commenting “Baby, didn’t you notice? Tamagochi looks like your brother…”  OMG!!! He’s right!!!! Arrrggghhhhhhh!  Darn… there goes my “crushy” feelings down the drain… But maybe there’s hope. Come to think of it, my crush does look like my brother WHEN HE WAS 5 YEARS OLD! So, I guess it doesn’t count… I may still have hope. Hehehe. (Peter is currently preparing his other stronger “voodoo” the next time I encounter Tamagochi. Hahaha!)

Coffee…anyone?

All this crazy talk on love and infatuation made us crave for coffee so we eventually transfered to DOME. It’s only then that I noticed that their coffees are a lot cheaper than those served in other coffee shops. I ordered something which I never tried before —  Espresso on Vanilla Ice Cream (or is it the other way around…Vanilla Ice Cream on Espresso, I forgot), for only 80 bucks. Not bad!

Then we went home early for a Friday night. Peter had a 7a.m. appointment with our foreman (we’re having some renovations done for our new house) and he has to wake up early while I have to wait for Smart Bro technicians to drop by and fix their damn network. Fast forward to today, they didn’t come. We waited two whole days for them and they didn’t show up. F__k Smart Bro… goodness!

Uhm… Jenny? Was Peetah tryina look like the OFC (Our Father’s Coffee in heaven, holy be thy name…) guy? The one who doesn’t look too happy about his own coffee? Or is he just tryina show everyone that the cookie he took from his crap still looks like the way it did when he popped it into his mouth?

Hahahaha I’m sick :D

Cheska, I am soooo envious of you! The moment I read your blog, I surfed the net for vacant jobs in bora… if only I have enough guts and money to quit my job now, I’d do the same…

Peachie!!!! Hahahahahahahaha!!!!
