Here, There & Everywhere

July 17, 2007

JULY 17, 2007, TUESDAY, 10:53 P.M.

I’m beginning to be a once-a-week-blogger now. As much as I’d like to post a lot of things, SMART BRO is not performing that well. It’s always down and slow. Akala ko ba Pambansang Broadband ito? Bleh! As soon as another DSL or Broadband service is available in our area, I’d have this disconnected. Bayantel DSL was still way better when we were using it back in QC.

Anyway, I’m in Manila Pavilion now (thanks to Peter’s cuz, Raoul, who gave us complimentary room accommodation) where Popsy is checked in so this is where we will be spending the night. Peter went back to Alabang coz I forgot my uniform for tomorrow (my poor baby).

Anyway, I’m at the lobby and my gosh! A Japanese / Korean / Chinese (I can’t ever tell the difference really) guy approached me asking if my wi-fi is working coz his isn’t. We chatted for a while until he said “You’re computer is beautiful just like you…” I was laughing in my head (bwahahahaha!). Is this guy for real?! Then he asked if I also have a room in the hotel and IF I”M STAYING BY MYSELF. My goodness! So to cut it short I said I’m staying with my hubby and Popsy. That’s when he smiled and said “Oh…ok, uhm..I’ll try now if my laptop is working”  with his cute Chinese accent, then went away. Hahahahahaha!!!!!

Earlier this evening, Popsy and I had dinner at the Patisserie, located at the ground level of Manila Pavilion. Popsy had an all-American Breakfast with all the trimmings (sausage, ham, potatoes, bread, eggs…) while I had cappuccino and a huge serving of salad called Italian Riviera. It tasted great, actually, much better than the do-it-yourself salad over at Sofitel’s longest buffet.

JULY 16, 2007, Monday

 L-R: Michelle, Belen, Me, Jason, Reggie

After a good day at MDP immersion phase, my group mates and I headed to Mall of Asia for some team building (in short, kwentuhan to the max about anything and everything under the sun) and for some heavy snacks at Razon’s. They’re known for their Halu-halo so aside from the Pansit Luglug and Silvanas, that’s what I ordered. Indeed, they taste so good! And they’re affordable (only P165 for everything I ordered). Need I say more? Ok, Uhm… Jason, our team leader, has been taking care of his pet tamagochi for a year now. Isn’t that the cutest thing? Hihihi!

JULY 14-15, 2007, Saturday-Sunday

We ran several errands and did some more shopping for the house this day. Then come evening, we fetched Popsy from QC. We arrived home at around 1am (Sunday dawn) together with Peachie. We just changed clothes and still decided to go to Embassy Cuisine where Ninette and her friends (Dindin, Vanessa, etc.) were waiting for us. It was a very spontaneous night out! Soon enough, our friend from Bukas Palad, Jowi, arrived followed by Jem and her hottie room mate Daniel.

M.A.D. (Madness After Depression)

July 11, 2007

We recently had our SMART BRO connection installed. But I just can’t seem to find the time to post anything.

I don’t wanna bore you with the boring details of my boring life in MDP (how redundant!). I’m just glad that by September, all of this will be over (or maybe soon, if quit or if I suddenly go insane or if I don’t get to pass and graduate).

I’ve been sick lately, physically and mostly emotionally/psychologically.

Last, last weekend, I had three mishaps at home — the motor of our old stand fan in the living room exploded, one of the light bulbs at home almost fell and my old pink wall clock fell on my face which left a bloody and nasty cut on my upper lip. It’s all healed now but the scar is still visible. All these happened to me while I was alone in our new house. I was trying to fix things at home coz Peter was away then, wakebording at Lago de Oro with the whole i.ph gang. It was their company outing & I felt so down for not going with him. Anyway, even if I wanted to, I can't coz I had a group meeting that Sunday at GSIS. Tough luck for me!

This was also the same weekend when I felt so terribly sad. Blame it on my fluctuating hormonal levels and the fact that I am just so physically & mentally tired from MDP. To unburden myself a bit, I watched old flicks that made me cry buckets like Flash Dance and  Pieces of April.

The next couple of days that passed were a blur. Popsy arrived last July 3 and that’s when Peter got physically sick too, from overfatigue and stress at work, putting up fixtures around the house, and taking care of me and Papa. But there were happy moments too like when they brought me to work very early in the morning and Popsy & I decided to have breakfast at Sofitel first.

Peter couldn't join us coz it was coding for the car. So Popsy and I bonded instead. Starting that evening, we always pick up Popsy at the Casino before having dinner. On his first night, we brought him to Coal Grill & Resto Bar. And on the succeeding nights, we have our dinner at Sofitel.

Travelogue XXIII: VISMIN TOUR 3rd LEG-Bohol Part IV

July 8, 2007

The next series of travelogues that  I will be sharing with you consist of three weeks worth of vacation,  touring parts of Visayas and Mindanao two summers ago.  This was the time when both of us were able to scrimp the P40,000 we saved up for this adventure and learned the art of backpacking by experience. I’ve already posted the first and second legs of our trip (Cebu and Dumaguete). Now, let’s check out Bohol PART IV. Come, join us on our journey and explore the beauty of our country. Maybe next time, we can do a backpack tour of Asia and Europe as well. *crossing our fingers now*

~~~oOo~~~
On the last day of our Bohol adventure tour, Peter and I woke up as early as 6am in order to catch the 7am boat which we rented for island hopping that morning. The half day P900 boat ride brought us to two islands: Balicasag and Virgin. Crossing the semi-wavy waters of Panglao on that cloudy morning was quite refreshing. I was a bit worried though that if the sun won’t shine soon, Peter & I might not be able to enjoy this island hopping trip. Thank God, the sun did show its face upon our arrival on the first island, Balicasag, and boy, what spectacular sights we saw!
