Here, There & Everywhere

July 17, 2007

JULY 17, 2007, TUESDAY, 10:53 P.M.

I’m beginning to be a once-a-week-blogger now. As much as I’d like to post a lot of things, SMART BRO is not performing that well. It’s always down and slow. Akala ko ba Pambansang Broadband ito? Bleh! As soon as another DSL or Broadband service is available in our area, I’d have this disconnected. Bayantel DSL was still way better when we were using it back in QC.

Anyway, I’m in Manila Pavilion now (thanks to Peter’s cuz, Raoul, who gave us complimentary room accommodation) where Popsy is checked in so this is where we will be spending the night. Peter went back to Alabang coz I forgot my uniform for tomorrow (my poor baby).

Anyway, I’m at the lobby and my gosh! A Japanese / Korean / Chinese (I can’t ever tell the difference really) guy approached me asking if my wi-fi is working coz his isn’t. We chatted for a while until he said “You’re computer is beautiful just like you…” I was laughing in my head (bwahahahaha!). Is this guy for real?! Then he asked if I also have a room in the hotel and IF I”M STAYING BY MYSELF. My goodness! So to cut it short I said I’m staying with my hubby and Popsy. That’s when he smiled and said “Oh…ok, uhm..I’ll try now if my laptop is working”  with his cute Chinese accent, then went away. Hahahahahaha!!!!!

Earlier this evening, Popsy and I had dinner at the Patisserie, located at the ground level of Manila Pavilion. Popsy had an all-American Breakfast with all the trimmings (sausage, ham, potatoes, bread, eggs…) while I had cappuccino and a huge serving of salad called Italian Riviera. It tasted great, actually, much better than the do-it-yourself salad over at Sofitel’s longest buffet.

JULY 16, 2007, Monday

L-R: Michelle, Belen, Me, Jason, Reggie

After a good day at MDP immersion phase, my group mates and I headed to Mall of Asia for some team building (in short, kwentuhan to the max about anything and everything under the sun) and for some heavy snacks at Razon’s. They’re known for their Halu-halo so aside from the Pansit Luglug and Silvanas, that’s what I ordered. Indeed, they taste so good! And they’re affordable (only P165 for everything I ordered). Need I say more? Ok, Uhm… Jason, our team leader, has been taking care of his pet tamagochi for a year now. Isn’t that the cutest thing? Hihihi!

JULY 14-15, 2007, Saturday-Sunday

We ran several errands and did some more shopping for the house this day. Then come evening, we fetched Popsy from QC. We arrived home at around 1am (Sunday dawn) together with Peachie. We just changed clothes and still decided to go to Embassy Cuisine where Ninette and her friends (Dindin, Vanessa, etc.) were waiting for us. It was a very spontaneous night out! Soon enough, our friend from Bukas Palad, Jowi, arrived followed by Jem and her hottie room mate Daniel.

Ohhhhlala!!! I guess I’m not the only one who was wild and drunk that night…hahaha!

I pretty much got drunk that dawn. How can I not when I drowned myself with not only a glass of cosmopolitan but long island iced tea and vodka tonic as well. I guess, I under estimated the alcohol content of those drinks coz when we were on our way home at around 5am, I had to pop my head out of the window and blow chunks all over Diosdado Macapagal Hi-way. Hahaha! I’m lucky to have a very patient and understanding hubby. He parked the car at a nearby Petron Station, bought tissue and alcohol for me and had the car cleaned too. When we got home, he put me to bed, undressed and cleaned me, wiped off my make-up and took off all my jewelry (he knows how I hate sleeping with these things on). He’s really so sweet. I felt bad again for having been a brat.Oh well!

FRIDAY THE 13th, 2007

Peter and I spent some quality time at Mall of Asia. We watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Man! It’s so worth it! (Mababaw lang kaligayahan ko so I don’t care if the other more credible reviews say otherwise). It’s been so long since I read the book. But the moment I saw the first scene, everything came back to memory. I’m not really a critic but I can say that the movie did justice to the book. The only thing that didn’t sit well with me was Cho Chang’s non-existent British accent. What happened?

Afterwards, we had dinner at a cozy restaurant called the Gram’s Diner. They serve the usual American Stuff like burgers, steaks and fries. And the servings were really huge! I had my burger cut in half so I could take the other half home.

We also did some shopping for the house and Peter salivated over some expensive Transformer toys. EQ…EQ…

JULY 12, 2007, THURSDAY

We’re beginning to look like stockholders of Sofitel now. I couldn’t count how many times we’ve eaten there. But the tons of money Popsy spent on our buffet meals…that I couldn’t forget. Plus the tips! Goodness! Talk about walking generosity! This day, we celebrated Tita Ching’s birthday. What I did was to taste all the other food I haven’t tried the past couple of days coz, well, there’s just so much of it and my waistline is getting bigger and bigger.

Overall, it has been a good week. God is good. :-) Enjoy the rest of your week folks!
