This week, my life has been reduced to that of a college student’s: Training from 8am to 6pm, waiting for Peter until around 9pm at the office while using the time to do some research, and dinner at Harbor Square, CCP Complex until around 12 mn (where I am able to connect somehow to free wi-fi service). We get home very late, only to undress, take a bath, (try to study some more) and sleep. Then wake up around 5am and the whole process starts all over again. In short, I have no freakin’ life and I am just sooo tired! Well, on the other hand, I got to date Peter for four consecutive nights now here at COAL Resto Bar & Grill. They have super tasty dishes and they’re all our favorites! So far, we’ve ordered Sinigang na Maya-Maya twice (which at P135, is already good for 3 persons. not bad!), Quesadillas, Sizzling Sisig, Crispy Squid Heads, Adobong Kangkong, Coal Iced Tea (with orange juice & wine) and Strawberry Milkshake.
And yesterday night, Star, one of my wacky girfriends found Peter along Edsa while she was riding a cab. She hopped out of her taxi and hitched a ride just so she could see me. Peter was then on his way to fetch me from work all the way from Ortigas. What a coincidence, huh!? And we had such one wacky and laughter-filled evening, even for just a short while.
This was the night Star caught me inside the training room studying!!! Ack!
Enough researching! Time for a little unwinding…
This reminds me of the bay boulevard in Kota Kinabalu…
Anyway, going back to my current state, my sleeping pattern has gone haywire such that I am always sleepy during the day while I can’t sleep at night. To sum up, the Phase II of our MDP Program is a stressful process of information overloading and I’m really on the brink of madness here. While I do appreciate the
fact that our top management totally supports us in this scholarly endeavor, the value of MDP is quite lost along the way. Several executives from various functional groups in the entire organization have already given their lecture to the entire class followed by a quizzes, or a group project, and/or take home exams plus research work to gauge the class’ understanding of their presentation. Short-term memory is the name of the game while our notes would serve as references for the assignments and for the business immersion phase that will start on July 9. The only few and notable things that I remember from the lecture series are the following facts: that as of December 31, 2006, we have an asset of P410,000,000,000.00… we have so much money that we don’t know where to invest it anymore. It would seem that we already own most of our country’s infrastructures and land that’s why we have started the initial stages of investing abroad. So to speak, financially, it’s really a good company to be working at. I can only hope and dream that somehow, someday, I’d be able to significantly contribute something in sustaining the solvency of our pension fund. But the question is, do I have the heart and passion for it?
Enjoying free wi-fi (albeit intermittent) for three consecutive nights!!! Yay!!!!
Updates, updates, updates…
First and foremost, happy birthday to my Peter. He turned 29 yesterday. It was his wish to NOT CELEBRATE IT coz it depresses him so I relented. Even if I wanted to… so very much actually… but I love him… so… there. Still, I'm glad he had fun NOT celebrating his birthday. I love you baby!
Gosh, I missed blogging! Not a day goes by that I don’t think about posting my thoughts, feelings and latest happenings in my life here on my personal site. Damn neighbor’s secured wi-fi! I couldn’t get through it! Peter & I should really find time to apply for broadband soon. Sigh. For now (June 24), after having dinner at Festival Mall's food court (there were so many to choose from by the way but we opted for HANDAAN that offers delectable Pinoy dishes — our fave as usual — and we had bopis, pakbet, bicol express, ginataang ampalaya, kwek-kwek, buko salad. What a feast indeed!), we drove around West Gate to see if we can connect to any available wi-fi. There were so many but their sites were secured! Darn! Talk about internet stalking, hahaha! And after a couple of minutes, we found one and lost it again. So it’s just now (June 26) that I am able to blog… after two days here at Harbor Square near CCP (when I'm supposed to be at home already, studying for our long test tomorrow). Sigh.

About the house transfer, most of our stuff are already unpacked and put to their proper places. There are still a few boxes left unopened plus a couple more things that we want done like screwing bolts for the door to prevent intruders, the air well to be turned into an indoor rock garden with water fountain, well-designed flooring for the balcony and garage-turned lanai, a huge painting for the huge wall in our bedroom and some more well-designed shelves for several blank walls inside the house, pin lights and drop lights for accent, etc.
The Master's Bedroom…. our bedroom!
The door in the middle leads to the balcony…
the door on the left leads to our own bathroom, big enough to install a bath tub in…
We were supposed to do these activities last weekend but MDP and some partying got in the way, hehehe. Here's how the house looks like right now. I'll be updating you if ever we do have the chance (and the money) to have our other house plans concretized.

Our book collection…just part of it actually.

Yesterday, Saturday, we went to The Fort Bonifacio High City and met up with some of our college friends. Lora arrived last week from Jakarta and last night was her time with us so we just simply made the most out of it. I suggested for us to go to T.G.I.F. Apparently, most of the food places in the area were full so we walked all the way to Serendra.
Walking to Serendra…
Forgive me for making this post a short one… we just got back from Xaymaca and I’m still quite tipsy since I had two Cosmopolitan which I drank like water (para wasak agad!). I’m usually like that when I attend Brownman Revival gigs. It helps me let loose and it brings out the extrovert in me. Anyway, it’s 5:15 am now. Peter’s asleep beside me. And by 9am, the Lipat-Bahay truck will be here and we’ll be off to Alabang. Just wanna share with you our last HIRIT before we officially leave Quezon City and start a new life down south…
Went to GSIS to do some research for my business case… Had lunch with two of my best girlfriends Vina and Vangie at Skyline on the 8th floor of GSIS. Gosh! I missed them so!!!!
Went to Medical City to have my skin looked at by a medical dermatologist (who is different from a cosmetic dermatologist). Turns out that what I have is not skin cancer (thank God) but cherry angioma which had to be lasered.
the fruitshake I like, but the caramel mocha cake of Red Ribbon, blech!
It was supposed to be a day spent in Tagaytay with some of my friends (Ninette, Vangie, Ate Rose, Dodgie, Vina, & Francis) which I didn’t confirm until last weekend. However, with everything happening — Peter’s work, my plans of seeing a doctor, going to Alabang to check the carpenters’ work on the cabinets, packing our stuff, our partying last weekend, our usual laziness, and the fact that we’ve been to Tagaytay several times already (we’re even scheduled to go there again next month c/o our Club Panoly membership), the thought of going there on a holiday just didn’t appeal to us so much. But the thought of seeing our friends excited us a bit so we said yes, we’ll go.
During the weekend, Vina told me she wouldn’t be able to come with us coz she has to attend Francis’ sister’s wedding. Then early Monday morning, Ate Rose texted & said that she’s sick. I felt sorry for her but at the same time, I was beginning to think that perhaps this wasn’t such a good idea after all. And Peter didn’t want to drive that far lately coz he’s been tired most of the time. So I thought that perhaps, while waiting for the others at Bluewave along Diosdado Macapagal, Roxas Blvd. (our
meeting place that morning), I could check out Sun Cruises near CCP and see if they have a couple of boat slots for Corregidor that day. Well, it turned out that they had almost a hundred slots waiting to be filled. I got excited! I texted my friends and asked and begged them if we could go to Corregidor instead! They wanted to… but sad to say that Dodgie already made reservations at one of the restaurants in Tagaytay plus they also have plans of visiting the wake of Dodgie’s boss’ dad. Well, we didn’t want to spend our time eating all day and visiting a dead guy we don’t know so it’s a good thing they let us pursue our new and sudden plan. I love my friends! They’re so forgiving. And Peter & I couldn’t be any happier! Blame it on my impulsiveness! Hahaha! So off they went to Tagytay and off we went to Corregidor! (We’ve been planning to go here for two years now. We can’t believe that it finally happened and as spontaneously as that! Weee!)
~~~oOo~~~
Now, let me take you on a trip back to history… We took tons of photos with both our Olympus and Pentax digital cameras that at the end of the trip, both of their batteries were exhausted. Here’s a film I made especially for you. Enjoy!
One of the most celebrated battles of
It is the largest of the five islands in between the shores of the legendary provinces of Bataan and Cavite, both homes to the country’s beloved heroes. The reminiscence of the Pacific War, however, is one educational attraction of a trip to the island, the best part is to experience life here amidst luscious green hills and pristine blue waters.
