Hi folks! I’ll be at Xaymaca Bar along Timog, Q.C. tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. Brownman Revival will be launching their second album, “AYOS DIN”. Help me promote Pinoy Reggae. Kita-kits! Jah bless!
Saturday started out in a very mellow manner. The previous night, Friday, we were supposed to go to Xaymaca and meet up with Anmarie and Vangie for some reggae night with Brownman Revival. But apparently, Peter misunderstood my stupid, stupid joke about TMB the other day and we ended up fighting that early evening resulting to my terrible migraine. Luckily, things got sorted out and we ended up just staying at home and doing major make up sex afterwards. Expectedly, we woke up late come Saturday morning. Peter cooked some pancakes and fish sticks for us. I then went to my orthodontist at St. Luke’s while Peter prepared for his Yoshinoya Gyudon Eating Contest. I was patiently waiting for my turn at the clinic but after an hour and a half, I was in no way near # 13, my number in the list of patients. The doctor was still fixing patient # 2’s teeth. Geesh! It was 2:30 pm and I suddenly decided that I wanted to see my husband eat all those Gyudon in public. I hurriedly looked for a cab and by 3:10 pm, I was already in Megamall. Whew!
BLOOMFIELDS band up on stage
One of TMB’s forum people, Marcus, came to see Peter too. At least I had someone to help me carry Peter’s bloated body if in case he won’t be able to survive the contest and end up puking on himself. Hehehe. Anyway, I didn’t expect that Yoshinoya would be making a big deal out of this contest and they did — complete with a video crew, a noisy band and 2 male hosts.
Peter smiling at all the bowls of Gyudon he was about to eat…
After almost an hour of waiting, he couldn’t wait anymore! He was starving!
So by the time the contestants finally gorged on their Gyudons, most of them had lost their appetite and the food tasted like “sebo” already. My poor baby! But still, he gave it his best shot!
I’m not sure if he was liking his food at this moment…
Vicente also qualified in the finals and he was there with Irene. I was ecstatic! I missed Irene soooo much and the timing was perfect for us to be together. While our men were being pigs up there on stage, the two of us, together with Mer, were doing some much needed girl bonding. It’s always a pleasure talking with Irene. She always makes me feel good about my life and she always helps me see the brighter side of things. I hope I inspire her too as she does me. By 5:15 pm, the contest culminated and our men didn’t win. They were only able to eat around 6 bowls of beef gyudon while the first prize winner of P50,000.00 finished 9 bowls! While the second and the third ate 8 & 7 bowls respectively (and won P30k and P10k respectively)! Woah! At least Peter and Vicente got a package of tuna canned goods and P500 worth of Yoshinoya GC. Anyway, it was time for meto go back to my orthodontist if I was going to have my braces adjusted. Irene offered to come with me and we spent more quality time talking about women stuff such as weddings, dreams, babies and aspirations. Teehee.

For Peter to start metabolizing the food he just ate, he must keep on posing…
Ok, now we come to the more exciting part of the day…

‘ll be telling you soon about the kinky and alcohol-induced events that transpired last Saturday… For now, let me get busy first with all my other addictions (DVD movies, books, wedding plans, house designs and packing for another upcoming trip this weekend). And the men? They went home happy that night…. oh yeah, they did.
My birthday last year was a blast! I invited all my girlfriends and even my ex (who’s also a very good friend of ours) to come celebrate my 28th birthday with Brownman Revival at Hard Rock Cafe. Afterwards, Peter even organized a surprise birthday hoopla for me back at our presidential suite at the Mandarin, complete with confetti, cake, drinks and even balloons and birthday hats!!! There were even rose petals scattered in the bedroom leading to the bathtub for some kinky, steamy sexcapades afterwards, hehehe.

Anyway, it’s not that I wanted to beat that this year (that was Peter’s best birthday present for me ever! Nothing can beat that!) but I just want something different, fun and out of town. I already celebrated my birthday with my family the previous weekend at Isla Verde and I really had a blast. Unfortunately, I ended up catching a fever afterwards (due to fatigue from all the trips and late nights, hehehe) and now, I just want to celebrate it with my friends and favorite band (again!). So I checked up Brownman Revival’s schedule and the moment I saw that they’ll be in Baguio for the Panagbenga Festival, I didn’t have second thoughts. I immediately texted all my friends hoping that they’d come with me and Peter as I fully celebrate my 29th year here on earth.
Vina, Francis, Ninette, Anmarie, Vangie, Jem, Koryn and Mer confirmed. We will just be meeting up with Michelle and Joan in Baguio since they will be leaving a day earlier. As soon as possible, I bought bus tickets for all of us. Departure was at 10:15 pm, Feb 23, Friday. Unluckily, Vina and Francis didn’t make it on time and Jem just barely made it. Nevertheless, we were on the road by 10:20 pm and slept through the entire trip.
We reached Baguio at around 4:30 am. Ninette booked us an apartment room to stay over until we check in at our hotel by 2pm. However, being the nomads that we are, Mer, Koryn, Jem, Peter and I started our tour that dawn while Ninette, Anmarie and Vangie decided to rest instead…
Feeling super cold so early in the morning…
At around 5:30 am, Session Road wasn’t that crowded yet. We headed to Pizza Volante to grab some breakfast, and had our tummies filled with coffee, eggs and pancakes.

The Panagbenga festival parade was about to start. We couldn’t decide which direction to take in order to get the best viewing spot for the parade. So we stopped to think…
Then we just kept on walking until these sexy Igorot dancers overtook us. We followed them and ended up yet again, near Session Road…
We love men in uniform!!!
Time to get out of the way and let the parade begin…
~~~oOo~~~
Whew!!! What a celebration! We got so tired taking pictures of the parade that we decided to go to SM and rest a bit…
