I was tipsy even before we arrived at Xaymaca. The whole point of the gimmick was to have fun without spending so much. So before leaving the house, I whipped myself a little treat — Sun Tea and Vodka. I poured it in my ever reliable starbucks coffee mug and brought it with me in the car. I sipped it while we drove to Xaymaca and before I knew it, I was already talking about anything and everything while feeling giddy at the same time — a sure sign of my lack of sobriety. Hahaha! I was so proud of myself!

Once we were there I sashayed with ultimate confidence, not a care in the world! After all, I WAS DRUNK. Hahaha! Brownman Revival was finishing their first set when I laid eyes on one of my favorite girlfriends, Michelle. God, I missed her so! It’s been like forever since we were last together. We hugged and kissed (and groped!) and held on to each other while listenin’ to Dino sing my favorite reggae songs. If you didn’t know us, you’d think we were lesbian lovers. Hahaha!

Then Jowi arrived after a bit. Gosh, it’s been so long since I last saw her too! A month to be exact, when we were in Zambales with Dino, Jem, Ode, Peachie, Van, Iza and Edson. I was so glad to see her! She was blooming that night. I wonder why…hehehe. BMR was resting after their first set so I got to introduce her to the rest of the band. When the second set started, my favorite waiter, Boyet, offered me my favorite cosmo drink. I needed it to help me conquer my shyness coz I wanted so bad to dance in front of the band. Good thing my other girlfriends arrived (Jem, Vina and Liza) and they all followed suit. Other girls and guys came to their senses and started dancing as well. At this point, I remembered Dino telling us his sentiments that he gets a certain kind of high when he sees his audience dancing to their music and giving in to their beat. It lifts him up. So dance was what we did!!!
Dancing like there’s no tomorrow…
