Boracay Sailing Adventure

December 15, 2006

As promised, here’s the last entry of this three-part series travelogue. Thanks for bearing with me. I just can’t seem to part ways with my PSP these days. It’s so damn addicting!

~~~0O0~~~
We woke up early the next day, around 6am and it was such a nice surprise to see the sun shining so brightly with only a few clouds in sight. I thought this would be perfect for the rides we planned to take — paraw and flyfish. We waited to for the boatmen by the beach around 7 am and after a couple of minutes, we were ready to take our ride.
It was our first time to ride a sailboat and it was very quiet and relaxing. Every time the wind blew hard, the boat sailed so fast. When the wind died down, the boat lay still on the  water. Eventually, we all fell a sleep while being baked under the sun. It was such a nice feeling. The wind caressing our bodies and the sun’s heat soothing our golden skin (mine most especially).
We didn’t notice that time flew by so fast. We spent 2 hours on that boat when we only intended to spend one. Because of this, we weren’t able to do flyfish anymore coz all our budget went to paraw. But it’s ok. We loved it anyway! Hopefully, next time, when we come back, we’d be able to do other rides and activities.
We spent the rest of the early morning just basking in the sun and frolicking in the oh-so-clear turquoise waters. C’est la vie! It wasn’t long before we gor ready for our scheduled check-out and it was then time to say goodbye to our short but fun Bora vacay. We didn’t want the same incident to happen during check-out so we prepared early and was just in time for the 11:30 am ferry ride to Caticlan.
In Caticlan, it took a while before we were able to board the van that will bring us back to Kalibo. In Kalibo, our Cebu Pacific flight got delayed for an hour which we spent eating chocolates and talking about lighthearted stuff. Soon enough, we were boarding the plane  and saying goodbye  to Bora for real.  Sigh.  Now, it’s back to the real world, with real problems and responsibilities.  Still , I can say, c’est la vie! We shall return, soon…
