I Can’t Get Enough

September 25, 2006

Brownman Revival’s gig last Thursday night was kinda bitin. Due to the numerous bands that played that night, BMR was only able to do 1 set. So the following night, Vina, Peter and I went to Xaymaca to experience the real deal. And boy! Did I have sooooo much fun! I tried drinking again. Don’t worry, it was  just enough to make me a bit tipsy. I had 3 glasses of cosmopolitan (195 each) and 1 bottle of beer (entrance ticket worth P180 is inclusive of two drinks —beer, water or iced tea). And before I knew it, Vina, Inky and I were dancing the night away! I didn’t mind that the place was so packed we could barely breathe plus we keep on bumping into other people’s body parts. It’s always been part of Xaymaca’s Friday scene and I couldn’t be any happier. Peter just stayed at the back of Xaymaca with Koryn and other BMR friends. I guess he couldn’t stand the heat and just wanted to chill. Well, whatever! As long as he allows me to DO MY THANG then I’m happy as a mermaid at sea. :-)

Tres Marias (Vina, me, Inky) dancing the night away

I was sooo tipsy I  suddenly took a picture with a complete stranger.

Feeling close kami noh?

Me in my tipsy state…. but Riki was way more tipsy! Hahaha! :-)

Movie Date with my Bro

I watched this movie with Peter and my brother Mac at SM City Block. We used my free ticket and while waiting for the movie to start, we checked out Chicken Bacolod First, on the same floor as the cinemas. We only had 20 minutes to have dinner. After 15 mins, we were done! To think that we ordered Sinigang na Bangus Belly and Bopis, they really give fast service! Plus, we were starving too! Whew!

Anyway, with regard to the movie DOA (Dead or Alive) is a movie based on a very popular computer game among geeks and the like. I’m not very familiar with it so I had no expectation whatsoever when I watched this movie with my friends. I think I just wanted to see gorgeous girls in action, with matching skimpy costumes (my bisexual tendencies kicking in, ladies and gentlemen, mwehehehe :-) ) Plus, the preview I’ve seen before showed amazing stunts and tickled my fancy making me guess if this is another Charlie’s Angels kind of movie or  something more  profound.  Well, it turned out  to be very fun to watch, not a dull moment in any scene  and before I knew it, the movie is already over .  It stuck to its  action-packed theme. It embraced  its  “pc game”  nature. DOA was true to its form. It did not pretend to be a great movie worthy of an Oscar Award, but it turned out to be an amazing film with perfect cinematography, clean effects and heart warming plots.  MTV movie awards will surely recognize this flick in its many categories.

Watch five gorgeous girls of  very different backgrounds and motivations as they vie for this year’s DOA championship worth $10 million.  Located in a secluded island and run  by tight security and state-of-the-art technology, follow how each girl’s journey to victory help them attain what they’ve been yearning for deep in their souls.
