Drowning Out the Tears

August 6, 2006

I know I said that I should be preserving my energy for my visit to Bilibid. BUT, we have an SOS situation here with my girlfriend Ninette. If I have the stomach and heart to give  to inmates, I couldn’t possibly deny my time to my friend. She needed my utmost support. So last Saturday evening, we went to this newly renovated bar near ABS-CBN — Janero. House music was being played. Some private party was being held upstairs so we just waited by the bar, ordered some drinks and just started chatting away. Their Cosmopolitan is exquisite, but I’d appreciate it more if they used a much larger martini glass. I was a little “bitin” but it will do. Ninette ordered Kamikazee which was a lot stronger in alcohol content so I in turn tried it after finishing my own drink ( early sign of alcoholism? NOT!). Basically, we talked about how guys could be such assholes. I know this doesn’t include ALL GUYS but majority of them does. Can’t they understand the fact that we ladies have feelings too and that we’re not some trophy dolls that they can just  discard whenever they feel like it? Ooohhhhh, BOYS! They can make me soooo mad!

Anyway, we partied the night away. Later on, a spot upstairs became available. There were still a lot of partying teenagers. How did I know that they were teeners? Well, a couple danced with us saying that they were only 19. Goodness! I’m not sure if I believed them but they sure don’t look 19 to me. WE LOOK 19. They look 24 at least! Well, here’s our picture with them. Tell me if I’m just drunk or do they really look that young?

Well, back to Ninette, she didn’t need to drink much to open herself up to me. She just poured everything and was sooo ready to move on (way to go girl!). I know she’s stronger than she thinks, that she’ll overcome this and that she’ll learn to love and be happy again. She just needs to have a concrete plan on how to go about this “breakup” and be able to stick with it. First she did was to delete the numbers on her cellphone (alright!). And starting that instant, no more texting and no more calling on the phone. A clean break is in oder folks. Then she has to take care of herself more and pamper herself more. I know she can do it! She deserves more love and happiness than any asshole can give her.  Because if that particular asshole did really love her, he would’ve given her what she needs a long, long time ago – TIME, LOVE and CARE. But since he is so stupid enough not to know how to read between the lines, or even simply read along the lines (if you know what I mean), then sorry, but you are  losing this pretty, gorgeous, fabulous friend of mine.  If he couldn’t give them now, then he never will. Major loser. Tsk, tsk. So the next question really is “NEXT!”  Time to move on and time to play the field some more. =)

After Janero, we went to Big Shot pool station to meet up with Peter’s barkada. These guys are the non-asshole type (except for one maybe, hehe, ask Peachie, *joke!*). We then transferred to Starbucks nearby for a much needed coffee break. We got home around 3 am. I blogged till 430am and woke up 8am for our 1st trip to Bilibid.
